I was reading that Boston might designate Chris Capuano for assignment soon with a bunch of their starters coming off the DL in the next couple of weeks. He'd be a nice arm to have around as insurance.

Capuano would be a fantastic depth (I know that buddy with the projection system really like him before the season), but I don't really see a spot for him on the 25 man roster.

I've liked Chris Capuano since 2010.

 

I remember after his 2011 season with the Mets, I said he'd be a nice FA target and many posters on here gave me flack for suggesting it.

no, just no. cruz hasn't had stats like this before (barring 2010) and his defense in left field makes tumour melky look like

No he isnt. EE has a below average career babip. Nelson has a career .303 babip. Yet they still have about the same career batting average. Eddy is better in every facet of hitting. Just isn't as lucky Nelson Cruz. Especially this year when Cruz has a .315 babip and Eddy has a .250 babip. 23 points below his career babip.

Ya a lot of fanbases piss me off. The St. Louis Cardinals because they think Rasmus is garbage, the Red Sox and Yankees for obvious reasons. Though the worst fanbase has to be Orioles that think the Jays are full of PED users because of Melky (Even though they have Cruz), and every win is attributed to the "Man in White".

That's the first time in a week that they scored 3 runs in a game

 

Yeah it's kinda f***ing annoying that they scored 5 runs in the entire Twins series and somehow swept them for three wins http://i.imgur.com/FA2CI9v.gif

 

Pretty cool, but saying stuff like "What do I have to do in my swing to get to that point", when you've been one of the best hitters in baseball over the last five years, is kinda silly.

 

Yeah but I think he means the home runs. No matter how good a baseball player a guy is, I think most hitters still cherish hitting home runs more than anything else. Edwin has ridiculous power.

 

Gotta love all these old guys talking about how they just "know" when someone is using PEDS.

 

There are some good posters in that thread too though.

 

I'm pretty sure it was just one guy, the rest were morons.

After another Red Sox loss which continues to sink them further out of contention, Farrell remains just as delusional as ever:

We've got a number of strong things already in place and that is pitching -- both in terms of our rotation and our bullpen. I think we're playing very good defense.

 

Most likely they'll go on a run... when Farrell and several of their coaches are fired for their poor performance this season, and several of their veterans (mostly bullpen arms, Peavy and possibly Lackey) are traded for prospects and pieces they desperately needed.

He should know, he had the exact same situation in 2012.
