HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 He's under contract for five more years at an average of $10.5M. He would cost a ton. Fine. Let's throw in Norris #allin
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Can't help but think a three way trade with Rasmus going to SEA could work. I was reading a board of theirs, and they are wanting a new CF. Not sure who a third team could be. NYM with Niese perhaps? Mariners are in go mode so I don't think they will be willing to give up any significant pieces to us. Franklin has been terrible this season too (in the bigs, doing well in AAA)

I really have no idea, just an idea

admin Site Manager Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 Mariners want pitching too, so it's going to be hard to use Mariners and a third team for us to get a pitcher, when they could use a pitcher themselves.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 If they need to address both areas then I don't see why a 3 team deal wouldn't work. Rasmus would be a solid addition to their lineup. I'm really hoping AA can deal Rasmus to address our needs rather than dipping into the farm.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Tampa really, REALLY can't score They literally have THE worst offense in the American league and it's not even close anymore.

Price is gone.... However do you think they try and trade Zobrist too? He does have a year left after this one. Could get a nice haul for him.

Caper Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I am a big Bob Ryan fan, but he had the same type of conversation with Bobcat a few weeks ago and I just don't believe any of these broadcasters when they say 'I understand these new stats, but...". I'll have to listen to this one. Agree 100%. Did you ever try and listen to John Shannon talk baseball?

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Tampa Bay is in a lot of trouble. Who would have thought they'd be the worst team baseball?
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Was that a forum member that just called in to Primetime and tried to have a rational convo on WAR? Whoever it was did a good job trying, but got cut off before he could retort.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Rays lose again. Anybody talk to BTS lately? I fear he might be suicidal at this point.

Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 How about Ubaldo Jiminez. He's been pretty terrible and it woulda cost us that SRF pick....

Convo Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 How come Morales didn't have a minor league stint? How does he go from not having any ST or minor league at bats to being in the Twins line-up already??

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Rays lose again No better way to celebrate my first post. One run or less in six of their last ten too.
Convo Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Hard to believe the Braves are 2nd last in ML in runs scored with J Upton, Gattis, Freeman, and Heyward in their everyday lineup ... B.J. Upton and Uggla were/are really dragging that offense down.

I thought the same thing, maybe they figure it's Dickey so it's a hit or miss no matter what or maybe they think they might as well let him train on the fly against us.

Maybe they figure that with no games to get him ready, the knuckler can't mess him up...
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 No Royals/Yankees game tonight. Rain has postponed the game. Off to Seattle they go.. won't affect their rotation, as they'll just skip the struggling Vidal Nuno.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 s*** man that was f***ing fast reaction to that news haha ^^^^ I used to love Cahill when he was on the A's
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Trevor Cahill DFA That is a lot of money to eat. $19.7M/2 years, plus two options. This is Russ Ortiz all over again.
