GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 And... Another injury. I nearly traded for him tonight and nearly got Hamilton before he died FO JFaS, I'm the new injury predictor lol
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I almost made a trade offer for him yesterday in the DDL. Basically every player part of a deal that doesn't come to a fruition on this board dies.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Basically every player part of a deal that doesn't come to a fruition on this board dies. Awesome. Someone try and then fail to pull a three way involving Ellsbury, Chris Davis, and Pedroia. Thanks.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Awesome. Someone try and then fail to pull a three way involving Ellsbury, Chris Davis, and Pedroia. Thanks. Going for Derek Jeter, Ryan Goins and Andrew Freidman, somehow.

Gen.Disarray Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Guys, it's almost Valverde time in LA. Prepare accordingly. Good call brah
Jays Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Holy "GASCAN" Batman! "Who won? The Mets," Valverde said. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/84289/tc-sticking-with-valverde-as-closer?ex_cid=espnapi_public

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Carlos Villanueva got RAPED last night. 9 runs in 3 innings. Ouch.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Travis D'Arnaud and JP Arencibia both batting .111 for the season (Of course, a bunch of our guys are right there with them...)
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 At your name yes, you could be Gen.Disarray for all I know. Nobody calls Gen that though and I don't think I've ever been called GordieDougie by anyone besides some twisted form of it by Randy lol

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Alex Cobb-P: Rays placed Alex Cobb on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Alex Cobb-P: Rays placed Alex Cobb on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain. Shiiiiit. Cobb and Moore? Jays finally catching a break this year with other teams' injuries.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I keep thinking that, too. It's like the Jays had a virus for a couple year, injury bug, and we've recovered and are going strong but other clubs are just now going through it. It's a nice change. Hey, on a positive note, isn't the Jays defence looking stellar? I mean, what a bunch of great plays over the last couple of weeks. A complete 180 from last year. Even Izzy us making plays, although that s***** tag try yesterday made me cringe.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 The Rays really can't catch a break with injuries... and yet our Jays are still a game back of them because we haven't hit our stride offensively so far this season.
flafson Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Yan Gomes has had a good start, already with 0.5 WAR.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Alex Cobb-P: Rays placed Alex Cobb on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain. Somewhere in a corner BTS is crying.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Anyone remember Yoslan Herrera from the Pirates? He has re-emerged with the Angels, who are desperate for arms after that extra-inning game last night. Pretty sad..

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Would never wish injury upon anyone but I'm not overly upset to see the Rays finally get bitten by the injury bug.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Would never wish injury upon anyone but I'm not overly upset to see the Rays finally get bitten by the injury bug. Yeah, aside from the regular Longo DL stint, they've seemingly been pretty lucky with injuries over the last several years. There was Cobb getting hit in the head, but he still pitched 140 innings. Different story on their farm where it's already kind of thin, and on top of that they've had Hak Ju-Lee blow out his knee pretty bad, Guerrieri go down to TJS, and a slew of guys get substance abuse suspensions. It looks like 2014 might really test the Rays ability to add wins in the margins.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Who will get the next callup? Dumb and Dumber were talking about Erik Bedard earlier on the broadcast but Mike Montgomery probably makes the most sense just by looking at Durham's current roster. That's a little uninspiring.

They may simply call up Gausman, unless they really want to keep him in the minors another 2.5 months or whatever for service time. Seems questionable if they really plan to compete, since he probably dwarfs anyone else they can bring up.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 It's early and the Braves are about to go 8-4... but when do they start thinking about sitting BJ Upton? Now has 17K/1BB with absolutely zero power. It's like he's completely flamed out. WTF happened to this guy? He was never going to live up to his early-career projections but christ he's almost useless at this point.
