jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Only problem is that the Yanks have very little of value to trade outside of Gary Sanchez for a big bat.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Bad news for the Red Sox at 3rd: Brian MacPherson @brianmacp Middlebrooks has a strained calf. Will go for an MRI in the morning. 15-day DL looks like a certainty. Could we see Garin Cecchini? (more likely it'll be Brock Holt, Brandon Snyder, or former Jay Mike McCoy..)
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 D-Backs lose AGAIN.. now 1-7 on the season. Patrick Corbin's injury has really hurt. How long a leash for Kirk Gibson? And when will we see Archie Bradley? They're hitting.. but it's been offset by the team's awful pitching staff, with McCarthy, Delgado and the bullpen being major offenders.
awsomest Verified Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I know its early but the dbacks are an impressive 5 GB in the Al West.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Hurl did you make it home?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Of course I did. Never actually made it to Oshawa (I consider everything east of Toronto to be the shwa). I missed my last train (the girl at Guildwood told me the time that the last train stopped at Guildwood not what time it left Union so I missed it by a few minutes...I just had to stop for poutine) so I figured my best option was to bus to Pickering and cab back to Scarborough from there, took me 20 minutes to get a cab at the Go station.

Yea but did you get a rimjob at the bus station from a nineteen year old street rat?

I don't think Patrick Corbin's injury is the main reason (I expected some regression from him anyways). I never liked the D'Backs coming into this season to begin with. Even the pitching after Corbin isn't anything great. Hopefully they call up Archie Bradley soon. Their rotation of McCarthy, Cahill, Miley, Arroyo, Delgado isn't anything to write home about.

It's not elite but IMO, it's still solid full of #3-4 starters ,especially when many of those guys have nice GB numbers
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Jameson Taillon will have Tommy John surgery That sucks, was looking forward to seeing him pitch in Pittsburgh this season.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Is there any way for anyone to look up framing numbers for catchers that have played for the Yankees? I want to see if there is any big difference being a member of the Yanks and when you aren't, it sounds pretty butthurt on my part but you can't be a fan of any other team and not notice that the Yankees get a lot more questionable (not to say awful) strike calls than other teams.

Some of those examples are just utterly hilarious!! There's something really endearing and touching about their naïveté. Like you wanna help them out but just can't stop laughing.
