Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 And it's official, Cano to the M's. 10 years, 240 mil. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/12/mariners-to-sign-robinson-cano.html
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Oh My. The sad thing is they are not even going to make the playoffs this year. Just makes even less sense to hand out a contract like that. I guess its a bonus not to see him with the Yanks.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 One of Choo, Granderson or Cruz should be signing shortly
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Probably see choo go now and probably Garza or another top starter other than price
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Whos their current 2b Franklin.. but also have ackley
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 What a shame. I was hoping Jay Z would have fallen flat on his face. He sort of did. The end game was to extract as much money as they could from the Yankees. They thought they could use the Mariners as leverage but they overplayed their hand and now Cano has to actually play for them which he can't be too thrilled about. I mean if all Cano wanted was to play for the biggest sucker, he could have had Boras do that.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Probably see choo go now I wonder how Koreans feel about playing for the Mariners. Do the strong ties to Japan appeal to them or repel them?
Jays Verified Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Hoping for a David Price trade now and TB getting a huge return... go Rays!
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 What would it take to get franklin Some sort of deal with Rasmus? Big deal with Jose? They want another power bat.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Cano took a private jet to RD and will fly next sunday with his family to Seattle on Sunday to press conference... Cano had a nice talk with Felix Hernandez at stadium
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Could be already in the works The al west is strong now Poor astros lol

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 They should sign Garza and trade for price. Walker and Franklin + for price?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Some sort of deal with Rasmus? Big deal with Jose? They want another power bat. As I have said multiple times it would be great to trade JB while he still as good value and a very good contract, however if AA does not make playoffs this season he is likely going to get canned and so I can't see him trading him off. It is likely going to be another all or nothing year for us.

Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Cano's power numbers will be slashed in half For his power to be cut in half he would have to hit 0 homers at home (assuming the ussual 15 on the road). His power may be cut by 10 or 15%. If he is a .300 30 100 with the Yanks he may be .285 26 90 with the Mariners. Just an estimate, but a better estimate then "Power cut in half"
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Yankees will now be able to make another big FA signing, choo?
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Lol and some of you people said you'd be floored if he signs with Seattle... I told you he just cared about getting top dollar
imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Poor astros lol They are building a great team. The better the division now, the better their chance of getting 1st overall again and again for the next 2-3 years.
flafson Verified Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Amazing, i guess Yankees learned something from those huge contracts they gave to A-rod and company.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 We should sign Garza my initial inclination was no....I would prefer colon just due to dollars and commitment....I like Garza...just not sure about the years and dollars he commands....I'm starting to move towards the Garza camp...everyone else is splashing cash..
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
