JugglingPitches Verified Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I can't get enough baseball so this year in addition to following the Jays, I am thinking of following an NL team as well. I've always had a soft spot for the Cubs but I'm really not THAT big a glutton for punishment. Do any of you guys follow a team in the other league?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I don't have any favorite NL teams but I have a lot of respect for the Cardinals organization (their fans; not so much).
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Count me among the few who actually prefer NL baseball I like an occasional team like the 2010 Phillies, 2011 Cardinals, 2012 Pirates but no one favorite ongoing team
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 [h=2]Do you have a favorite NL team?[/h] What a difference a day makes.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 My favorite NL player is Bryce Harper.. favorite pitcher SS.. so I would say I like the Nats if I had to choose
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Also Rendon was my favorite prospect after he got drafted but then he fell off the map a bit when the injury concerns from draft day started looking legit.
bzapple Verified Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 The Rockies are my favourite NL team but I tend to go through phases of being interested in different teams.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 wow.. Steamer doesnt believe in Rendon.. has him playing a whole season but only a .003 bump in wOBA give me the over for a nice chunk of money on that.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I don't really have a favourite NL team, but I do follow the Mariners a lot.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Pirates are fun to root for
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Montreal Expos...no wait...they don't exist anymore.

The Cubs have a pretty fun FO to follow, if that interest you at all.
fireballW Verified Member Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Nah. I did like the Nationals until they shut down Strasburg and didn't even make him available for the playoffs. Babying of pitchers is probably my most disagreed with concept and the thing that annoys me the most about current day baseball.
JugglingPitches Verified Member Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Been to San Francisco as well and have a soft spot for the Giants. Also been to Angel Stadium which I think is the most beautiful ball park I've ever been to, so I'll watch an Angels game now and then. I guess I'll just been watching a lot of random baseball on Jays off days next season.
Holden Caulfield Verified Member Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I'll always have a soft spot for the Pirates. My grandfather was a huge fan from way back when they were originally good, and he died just before they started contending again :/
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I've got a migrating favorite team, I usually casually root for an NL team that I like. Used to be the Dodgers, but I'm not a fan anymore. Probably the Mets now... love that young pitching that will be coming up.
Ehjays Verified Member Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 No Only watch The AL,,,,,,,,,,,JAYS only
Jay Train Verified Member Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Braves. Their games were always on Peachtree (or TBS back in the day) so they were easy enough to follow. Plus I had this weird streak where every game of their's I watched went into extras which is always exciting. They have some pretty good young players now so they're exciting to watch.

I remember Braves games on Peachtree. Otherwise, it's the worst tv network ever. Terrible shows, movies, overly cautious censorship etc. Who the f*** wants to watch a Tyler Perry's House of Payne marathon?

Same here..visited both AT&T Park and Angels Stadium during a California trip about 5 years ago, so I also have a soft spot for both teams. I joke with my young son that we were responsible for bringing the luck to the Giants that started them off on their subsequent World Series wins.

I was at the game in San Fran when Freddy Sanchez broke his arm. Love that stadium
