admin Site Manager Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 no offense...but f*** you Stoeten. I've disagreed with him on things, but props to him for the shout out. A lot of respect for that.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Classics......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBWUIYbIZfA  I believe in Jesus Christ, but I think he can't hit the WainWright's curveball.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Just filthy man. After reading the wonderful article "RA Dickey Effect", the Cards FO would like to have Dickey pitching before Wainwright. what do you think?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I like him where he's at, unless we get a couple of their fireballing starters, we then can use the Tomo Ohka effect, lol Ohka would be a s*** but our bullpen and starting pitchers who throw after Ohka would improve their performances. zero sum game, take out your pocket calculator!!
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 PS. Stoeten that Breaking Blue is an off-shoot of the same messageboard community that you were ripping on a few months ago. I would not exactly call that crowing but it was enough to antagonize Stoeten. Given how thin-skined he is and given that he has helped promote the site, it's probably best to not engage with him at all.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Yep. Although I think the guy who engaged him was a DJF devotee, not a BJMB poster. That makes his reaction even more immature frankly.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 We got lots of hits due to people thinking I was 14 lol  WTF? How did that rumour get started.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 We got lots of hits due to people thinking I was 14 lol  f*** you. Your success is due to your great contributions to science. Your age is irrelevant.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Chris has been a baseball (and Jays) fan for 15 years. Â Someone didn't read your bio or is really bad a math.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 You look 14 in your photo I guess lol.  And Nikolai Ballevski looks to be about 12... that's a pseudonym for NJH, right? I'm looking forward for read your article about the greatness of Homer Bailey....Just kidding!!! You should write something.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Someone didn't read your bio or is really bad a math. He's just been a ball fan since conception.
Nox Verified Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 My god Stoeten is a f***ing knob.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 My god Stoeten is a f***ing knob. It's really quite sad. You just can't have a discussion with him in his comments section. He always reacts like you're trying to pick a fight.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Yeah I am interested in writing for the blog. Maybe I'll submit something soon, if I can think of a topic. In 2 or 3 months we could have more insiders than Baseball America. I'll try to improve my English to the fullest to submit something.
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I'll try to improve my English to the fullest to submit something. If you'd like someone to proofread and provide comments, I can help you with that.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 If you'd like someone to proofread and provide comments, I can help you with that. Would be helpful, thank you very much for the offer.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Yeah I am interested in writing for the blog. Maybe I'll submit something soon, if I can think of a topic. Yeah, I've got a number of things I'd love to flesh out and submit too, but I'm just too busy atm. Maybe come spring I'll be able to. Sounds like there's quite a few people in the same position.
admin Site Manager Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Sounds like if I leave due to opportunities, there will still be quality writers to take my place! FYI you're not leaving!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Just made my first post. I'm the breaking news guy. :3
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Andrew Stoeten says: 11.27.13 @ 6:36 AM EST REPLY Oh, so you mean that messageboard community isn’t a monolith and there are a few actually intelligent people on there? Shocking. Still deserved/deserves ripping entirely. Also: while it certainly looks impressive, I’m not necessarily whole hog endorsing everything on that site. It’s communicated very well (which might be the most impressive thing, given how hard it can be to do with that stuff), and the work looks very solid, but I can’t say that the conclusions necessarily hold up after a quick reading of it. Great food for thought, at the very least, but probably best to leave the crowing at the door, eh? And what do you even mean by offshoot, really?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 You look 14 in your photo I guess lol.  And Nikolai Ballevski looks to be about 12... that's a pseudonym for NJH, right? he just likes 12 year old boys
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 http://tangotiger.com/index.php/site/comments/knuckleball-hangover-effect Good reads and research in the comments. MGL has researched Wakefield in the past with similar results and another individual looked at relievers with similar results as well! love that info from fivetwentyone about hangover effect for all starters.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 You guys should use this run of recognition and name checks to secure some interviews with prospects. It will help legitimize the blog and give the prospects some face time, it's a win-win.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I'd be interested in writing for the blog if you're looking for some writers. I had my own baseball blog with the Varsity at UofT. Â http://extrainning.thevarsity.ca
admin Site Manager Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 We are pretty full at the moment. I posted on the main board twice looking for authors, and it got very little interest.

admin Site Manager Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 Good idea, and read the post wrong at first and didn't know what the hell he was talking about. We already have one in the works already. But I'll try and get some more.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 We should absolutely be interviewing Robson.

We already have one in the works already. But I'll try and get some more. I have good contacts in DSL. I will make my contributions as well. ""The sum of all parts""
