GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Hawks embarrassing themselves, they look like punk-ass sore losers. Patriots aren't in any way exempt from blame.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Well, the entertainment factor is certainly legit in this one.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I still can't believe they threw the ball on the 1 with Lynch in the backfield and timeouts in hand.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Patriots aren't in any way exempt from blame. Most definitely not, but they didn't just throw the game away.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Carrol went full Casey. You never go Full Casey
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 That has to be legitimately one of the stupidest coaching decisions in the history of sports, which takes away Kearse's catch from being absolutely historic.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Football is so dumn, Brady's legacy gets completely re-written because of Pete Caroll's derp.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Like, not even play action, just straight up pass. I've been following the league for less than a month and it's obvious how stupid that was when you have Lynch.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Madden managed to correctly predict the final score, lol.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Yea even if they stopped Lynch, you take away 30 seconds off the clock and still have 2 timeouts left with about 30 seconds left to run 2 plays. My God the amount of stupid some of these coaches are is unbelievable
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 that play was ridiculous...I hate for any team to win/lose like that. How do these coaches make it through an entire season and post-season up to less than a minute left in the championship game and make a play call like that? friggin' terrible.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Football is so dumn, Brady's legacy gets completely re-written because of Pete Caroll's derp. What? The Patriots could be 6-0 in SB if not for some crazy catches by the opponents. Take tonight's crazy one without which, Carroll doesn't even get the chance to blow it. On the other hand, not a single person is blaming Wilson for the pick. Had it been Brady.... Anyway...
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Madden managed to correctly predict the final score, lol. If you asked Madden what play to run on that call, he would have given you 3 direct run options. I wonder why

How do these coaches make it through an entire season and post-season up to less than a minute left in the championship game and make a play call like that? friggin' terrible. What about losing because of some 1/1000000 catch like the Pats would've had Carroll not blown it?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 What about losing because of some 1/1000000 catch like the Pats would've had Carroll not blown it? You have no idea what would have happened after that play. Still lot's of time.
Frag Verified Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 That was a crazy finish and crazy game.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 New meme just got born. What about losing because of some 1/1000000 catch like the Pats would've had Carroll not blown it? Hawks had more than enough time to still run it in.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 You have no idea what would have happened after that play. Still lot's of time. LOL, come on, I think I'll take my chances. Just saying that it would've been brutal to lose because of a circus catch like that. Anyway...
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I enjoy plays that happen as a result of athleticism and occasionally freak luck. Throwing a deep ball at that point in the game is a fine call. That it had a crazy outcome so be it and that much more entertaining. Throwing the ball on the 1 yard line on second down while you have the best RB in the league with 30 seconds left in the game is a terrible call. It also had a crazy outcome. I would tend to prefer the former than the latter.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 New meme just got born. Hawks had more than enough time to still run it in. What? I never said I thought it was a good call to throw it in that spot. I was referring to the crazy catch. Just saying it would've been brutal as well to lose because of another circus catch.

Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Don't get me wrong I'd absolutely hate it if my team lost that way too. Making a crazy play vs. making a stupid play call is all I'm referring to. Decent game otherwise.

You don't understand... Brady's legacy shouldn't depend on the outcome of this game (or the previous ones). He's one of the all time great quaterbacks, period.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Embarrassing... It was a joke.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Not really Kinda is. Blew their load early. That thing didn't get 2400 retweets because of how inspirational it was. It was a joke. No it wasn't, lol.

Making a crazy play vs. making a stupid play call is all I'm referring to. Decent game otherwise. It was also a crazy interception by the Pats' CB. It seemed as if he just broke towards that spot instinctively. I'm just referring to the crazy catch because the Pats must've been having flashbacks to the 2 SB losses against the Giants.

I was rooting for the Pats and thought game was over when that Matthews guy was burning them all over the field at the end of the 1st half and during the 3rd quarter.
