dineke Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Sam Bradford is a good QB, problem is he has weaker knees than Derrick Rose. Bills should still take a chance though.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The defence was fine without Kiko last year, and it's his second major knee surgery already. With that being said, he was a stud, and he was on a rookie contract, whereas LeSean is older (26) and is also a RB who has a 7M cap hit over the next three years. If the Bills can get Iupati and more help on the OL, the defence should be just as good as last year (plus Rex) and then I guess this improves the run game. I still am holding out for Bradford, or maybe Matt Moore or Jake Locker. I dunno. Bills need a QB. Ugh. It's his second major knee surgery? Ok, that makes me like this a lot more. Iupati needs to be our primary target at this point. Yeah, his pass blocking, but Iupati + McCoy would be fantastic. And as maligned as he is, what would Cutler's contract be if he was dealt? His stats were pretty in line with years past.

Zaun of the Dead Verified Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I think he is actually a free agent after next season
TRM Verified Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I would take Cutler. This team with Cutler and Iupati makes the playoffs.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I would take Cutler. This team with Cutler and Iupati makes the playoffs. Absolutely. Cordy's already a fantastic pass blocker so we've got an LT for Cutler, and Incognito isn't a bad pass blocker by any stretch at LG. We just need to fix up the right side, and an upgrade at C wouldn't hurt. Iupati at RG and a draft pick at RT could be a solid o-line. I know a lot of Bills fans who don't want Cutler but when your options are Derrick Rose and Mark Sanchez, beggars can't be choosers.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Eric Wood is fine at centre. He's ok. Centre isn't exactly the most important position to be fantastic at, so yeah, just wouldn't hurt if the opportunity arose.
jb22 Verified Member Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Cassel -> Bills eh Casssel sucks, no idea why teams keep buying into the thought that there's something there. He's had 2 good seasons in 10 years, and one of those was likely mostly due to the system.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 We won a decent amount of games with KYLE ORTON. Cutler would have been better, but Cassel is just fine.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Orton just had a Jay Cutler type season. And Cutler might just have had a better season if he was allowed to, say, audible at the line or something.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) And Cutler might just have had a better season if he was allowed to, say, audible at the line or something. Audibling won't make him better than what he's shown for the last 8 years. Anyways, I doubt Cutler gets traded. Edited March 6, 2015 by dineke

GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Man it must suck to be a Bills fan. Yeah having one of the best defenses in the league, Sammy Watkins, and now LeSean McCoy is really awful right about now.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I like what the Bills have done so far but Falcons are my #1 team. Marshall to the Jets yikes there goes his value
jb22 Verified Member Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Yeah having one of the best defenses in the league, Sammy Watkins, and now LeSean McCoy is really awful right about now. Doesn't mean s*** unless you have a competent QB. Cassel is not this.
Nox Verified Member Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Yeah having one of the best defenses in the league, Sammy Watkins, and now LeSean McCoy is really awful right about now. Paying a RB an egregious amount of $ is not something to be excited about. Being a Vikings fan, I know this.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Suh averaging more then Watt yikes I know he's a dominate player but too much IMO. His stats can't really speak for him though as he is always going against 2 or 3
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Paying a RB an egregious amount of $ is not something to be excited about. Being a Vikings fan, I know this. His reworked contract cut his cap hit in, like, half, or something. And who cares about his actual salary because Pegula <3 also can we haz Bridgewater? thx

And who cares about his actual salary because Pegula <3 also can we haz Bridgewater? thx Still, runningbacks are a dime a dozen and they decline earlier than any other position so paying a 27 year old rb 16 million next year seems risky. Oh, and you gave up a stud linebacker too.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 As a Colts fan I can tell you firsthand how much I hate trading assets for RBs...I hate the Trent trade at the time and I hate it even more now.
