burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 So looks like the Pats have been doing this a while: http://www.buzzfeed.com/lindseyadler/data-shows-the-patriots-have-fumbled-the-ball-far-less-than?utm_term=.vm4d6pXYO1#.mm4o1oL21 NFL is probably loving this considering ratings will rise and no one is talking about how Roger Goodell f***ed up countless times.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 #spygate and #deflategate all in one decade, lol.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Lol Josh Gordon just failed another drug test. What an idiot

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Brent Grimes wife goes off on the entire NFL on Twitter. Arguably doing a better job of looking out for player's interests than the NFLPA.
Nox Verified Member Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Brent Grimes wife goes off on the entire NFL on Twitter. Even if the NFLPA is a joke, she sounds pretty insufferable. She also literally made a cake of her sucking Brent off. That's either alot of points for or against. I haven't decided yet. Definitely crazy though.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Brent Grimes wife goes off on the entire NFL on Twitter. Wowzers...that was fun! burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 lol i don't think anyone is going to disagree with what she said. NFL doesn't give a f*** about anything but money.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 JJ Watt robbed for MVP Has anyone seen all the glorious Key and Peele videos lately?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 How did watt get robbed? Rodgers was easily most valuable this season.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Watt was the best player but Rodgers was the most "valuable" because of his position. If Watt couldn't win it this year its going to be hard for a defensive player to win it ever.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 All aboard the anti-Patriots train.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 It's not possible (at least I don't think it's possible) for a defensive player to generate the kind of value an elite quaterback does so nominating them for MVP probably doesn't make sense no matter how good they are but if we're talking about the player who had the best performance relative to the expectation for his position, that's a different story.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 All aboard the anti-Patriots train. Grew up liking Seattle (a Steve Largent thing 100%)...but for some reason I'm not feeling them right now. I hate the Pats. I'm going to cheer for whoever the least people are cheering for at the house I'm watching. I don't even have any wagers on the game, except for the squares and prop pools I'm in.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Ive got Seattle +1 today. Who's everyone else betting on?

TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Any chance of actually getting in on this, or no? The pool is more to get the non footballers at the house to follow along. Will be 10 people at the most, not a big pool. If we get enough people here interested (with a different tiebreak) we could do it here. I'll handle the money. I think $5 is too small for email transfers though. I will have my Florida trip fundraiser in the next week for everyone here as well. Don't want to interfere with that.

Yes, maybe there's a case that Watt is better at his position than the next best guy more than Rodgers is but saying Watt is better because of that is like saying Mariano Rivera was the best pitcher during his career.

Yes, maybe there's a case that Watt is better at his position than the next best guy more than Rodgers is but saying Watt is better because of that is like saying Mariano Rivera was the best pitcher during his career. Rodgers is one of the best players in the NFL and I never said he wasn't. Just that Watt is the best defensive player ever and what he is doing no one has done. Lol cannot compare it to Rivera at all as its completely different. Rivera was a relief pitcher and barely played. Watt is on the field as much as any other player is. I don't think Watt "ran away with it" but he was the best player in the NFL last season and Rodgers won because QBs are the most valuable position on the field and he was by far the best QB.
