They just committed a ton of money and years to Romo. Would've made no sense. They have so many other holes.

What do you think of the Vikes drafting Bridgewater?

Posted
Lol.

Huge Bucs fan here. Why is that your team?

Since 2000 i could not even tell you lol. More or less a big Sapp fan and it just stuck

Insane that he dropped so far.

It is a really deep class this year so it surprised me that they dropped but in a way i can see why.

I have no idea how Bortles and Manziel are considered better prospects than Bridgewater. Guess we'll find out soon.

Manziel especially, I guess if you want to play the prototypical-QB-body card with Bortles, w/e, but how you take JFF before him...lol.

Browns gonna Brown (is that recognized as a verb yet?)

Guy just throws it up for whoever... this is not going to fly in the NFL.

I watched that game and that was my thought.... They raved about it but in the NFL that would happen 1 out of 100 times and picked probably 80% of the time. I look at him and i don't see him being as good as RG3 and you know how hard of a time he had last season.

While nimble in the pocket obviously.. His hard numbers are clearly inferior to RG3. I think for instance, while his 40 was respectable and better than most of this QB class, I think Lucks was even better. Don't quote me.. But he's certainly not RG3

Yay, Bridgewater to the Vikes. I'm not a fan of them per se but I really like them so good for them.

Pretty much anyone would've been an upgrade over Ponder. Guy is a f***ing gascan.

Any type of pressure he gets happy feet and panics. Primary receiver covered? Go to number 2? Nope, run around in circles and eventually get sacked or throw it into the ground.

Just imagine Manziel throwing to Josh Gordon...oh wait.

People thought Gordon partying with Manziel would get him suspended but it turns out he failed that test a couple months ago. Kicked out of the league with an opportunity to re-apply next year. Poor Cleveland fans if true

Johnson is like a very poor man's Chad Johnson.

Not a huge loss

It'd be better to hold on to him than go for draft considerations imo. But eh, I know jack s***.

So apparently Cleveland spent 500k on a study that studied college quarterbacks throughout the past 20 years and how their collegiate careers affected their pro careers. According to the data, Teddy Bridgewater projected to have the most successful career out of any eligible QB prospect.

Of course being them, they draft a nutcase instead and throw everything they invested in out the window

Michael Sam is still undrafted...

What was his realistic projection based on ability. I don't think I remember hearing he was an early round talent

Mid round talent

I really credit Michael Sam for his courage to come out BEFORE the draft. Took guts. But it looks like this decision will end up costing him a lot of money.

The sporting world will always be homophobic. Anyone who has ever played organized sports knows what it's like in a locker room. Players can come out and say that they'd welcome the guy with open arms but things are always different when the cameras are off. It's slightly different for Jason Collins because he had already been in the league for a long time and already had established relationships with players and stuff. It's way harder for a newcomer like Sam to come in and be accepted.

Just from watching tape of the guy in his workouts... he doesn't look overly athletic or explosive but definitely is a mid-round talent. He should've been taken by now if it was being based on talent alone.

I definitely agree but if he ever gets on the field and proves he's not a circus side-show, he will gain legitimacy. Also a lot depends on his personality. If he's the type of guy to be able to have a sense of humor about his sexuality, it will really help. If he's offended by gay jokes and such, then it could be more of an issue. I know that sounds wrong but that's prob the way it is

I remember an interview with an NFL player about how the locker room would take that Notre Dame LB last year (not going to try and spell name) and that's what he said... A lot depends on it the guy can laugh at himself. That made sense to me and especially in a locker room culture, cameras off/no PC, that's prob how it is. If he's anything like Martin from MIA.. BIG problems I would think

Wow...he can only bench 225lb 17 times?? I can't imagine that kind of strength will play at the NFL level. I'm 5'10 185 and I could do around that when I worked out a lot. Not trying to sound cool but that's seriously bad for an NFL DE/LB I would say. Also 25" vertical leap wouldn't even be rare on this board. Doesn't matter if he's big, those guys are freaks of nature and I would bet 25" sucks very bad. In he article it does say that's abysmal

Like I said earlier, watched some video of him over the last few days and was not impressed at all. Uncoordinated and no explosion.

Maybe he has off-the-charts football IQ. I dunno, didn't follow his career closely at all.
