SantosLHalper21 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Buehrle should never of been removed from the game. That's on Gibbons for his 100 pitch rule. Go with feel, go with flow. Until Buehrle has the tying run come to the plate...run with the guy. Nope..he brings in an overused, tired arm Brett Cecil and he gets cooked. If not for an amazing play by Lawrie and a terrible call by the first base ump, the Jays would be trailing heading to the bottom of the 8th. Gibbons is a sloppy manager, and is relying too much on basic baseball managing skills...he doesn't think..he just follows unwritten rules...its pathetic.

oakville69 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Was Buerhle on a pitch count? Why was he removed ?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 1 of the top 5 defensive plays of the year....Lawrie!!!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Near 100 pitches. Has been like that all season. Could he have went longer? Yes but its what the Blue Jays do. They even do it for Dickey even though the Knuckle ball doesn't have the same wear and tear. God. Buerhle is a mule and could probably throw 150 pitches with no ill effect.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Oh, and when did Boni learn to bunt? Last week???
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Has Santos been throwing 93 since he came back? He used to be 96-97 right?
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Oh, and when did Boni learn to bunt? Last week??? You mean bunt, hit, and steal bases?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Agreed. He isn't a max effort guy. Honestly though he use to be more efficent when he was with the White Sox. He use to be like Halladay. Throwing complete games with 93 pitches. Yep. That's what used to let him pitch 240 innings a year.
Tuco Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Great play by Goins there to end the game
oakville69 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Santos was throwing 95mph this week against the yankees.

Convo Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Casey doesn't have any extra life this year. Hopefully he will be stronger next year. Give me a break.
