oakville69 Verified Member Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 MB's era now below 3 in the last 10-11 games. His stats would be a lot better minus that one bad game vs the o's. He's our most consistent starter this year. I hope AA keeps him for 2014, even though the salary cost is very high.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 Goins has a slick glove for sure.
Jays Verified Member Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Who the f*** is the idiot calling the game with Buck? Dude just suggested that Buehrle's low ERA over the last 18 starts is because he's had no run support and pitched to the score. I really can't listen to this s***. Jack Morris
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 Goins hit that ball hard.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Missed the start of the game...how has Lawrie's at bats look?

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Buehrle's ERA is now at 3.97. That's really unbelievable. After his first month it sure is

LOL both at Morris' comment and you asking who the f*** is the idiot calling the game.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Speedy gose! Startting CF next season.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Startting CF next season. No. Just no.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Goins smokes another ball for the rbi!
Convo Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I wonder what kind of a September Lind will have? OPS by month: *April 0.708 *May 0.999 *June 0.982 *July 0.619 *August 0.741
theblujay Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 No. Just no. Why not? He doesn't need to hit that well to provide good value. Move Rasmus to left and we solve that problem too.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Goins smokes another ball for the rbi! Could we... . Could we... see Goins as our full time 2B next year?
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Could we... . Could we... see Goins as our full time 2B next year? After a half dozen, or so ,games?
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 it's beginning to look like they are going to win enough games to screw up the draft pick...but what else is new with bad organizations?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Could we... . Could we... see Goins as our full time 2B next year? Goins at 2B and Gose in CF...dump cabrara, spend money on DH and pitching.
theblujay Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Because he's been a replacement-level player so far through 81 major-league games. He's been jerked around and had his confidence shot a couple times. He also still young. We could use a defensive upgrade on this team too.
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Goins at 2B and Gose in CF...dump cabrara, spend money on DH and pitching. First Gose has to show that he can hit .Up to now he hasn't.
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Baseball draft shoot you're not screwing anything. Goal should always be winning. Why watch if you want them to lose? Because the draft pick is the only thing left to root for.
Convo Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Probably but thats not a good thing. This Goins hot streak could doom us if they decide not to upgrade second base this off-season. Hes not an everyday player. He's not an everyday player right now based on his minor league profile, but at 25 he still has some upside...
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 He should start the year with a bench spot and the ability to earn time if warranted. A team that's trying to win can't give a player like Gose a full-time spot to start the season. He is an upgrade to Melky just by stepping foot in the outfield...so yes he should start day 1 as long as he does what he has the last 2 weeks.

A team that's trying to win can't give a player like Gose a full-time spot to start the season. Gose can replace Davis on the bench. that's about all he has earned.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Yes the whole babying of the starters is stupid. Throwing more strengthen's the arm. Obviously you can't abuse them but pitchers use to throw all the time. 300+ innings and had long 15 year careers. Tom Seaver and Nolan Ryan both say pitch counts are ********. two of the best pitchers ever.... I'll take what they are saying
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
