I have to admit I was one of the very few who thought he would be at least decent as a 9 hitter who would have great defense. After watching his AB's through the season so far its very clear he is in over his head and a change needs to be made somehow. Whether that be Kawaski(most likely), Diaz, or Drew (I wish).

 

I thought he was going to be acceptable too. Well, like 2 dWAR and -1 oWAR or something like that. But he's way worse than that. Time to move on. He's depth now, nothing more.

Honestly, didn't see it, that's why I put in the hypothetical

 

It was well struck, on a 3-2 count. Just because a batted ball isn't categorized a line drive, that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't well struck. I'm not saying he's a. 300 hitter or anything, but he does have decent Ab's against righties and when the BABIP God's start to shine on him, he'll be back around the. 250/.300 area. The thing is, if he doesn't start showing signs in the next few weeks, he's going to start feeling the pressure of a possible demotion or AA may trade for a 2B sooner than he would prefer.

Bets on Goins' AAA wRC+? I'm thinking ~85.

 

I'll take the over big time. Barring the signing of Drew,he'll be back really soon. He's going to apply a new tweek he and Seitzer have just implemented. AA and Gibby figure it's best for the team to do that in AAA.

Meh, Gruber's admitted that Goins, is a positive ballplayer as a 25 man on any MLB team. He's not wrong, I don't think. At first he loved him, unconditionally, but...
