Nah, the emails suddenly disappeared one day about six months back, and I check my junk folders regularly. Also, the board setting, as you laid out above, is still turned on for me.

 

Oh, and I still don't get emails for PMs.

I still have the problem where it won't take me to the newest post. Idk if its just me, I tried learning browser cache as well. Some days it will work fine and other times it won't. It only happens on my laptop where i use Chrome, on my computer I use Firefox and I don't get this problem

I assumed everything was working fine. It works fine on chrome and ff for me as well as my phone.

Using the button on threads to go to the next unread post doesn’t work most of the time. It will randomly send you to a point you left off reading days ago. Doesn’t matter if you’re on mobile (even with the mobile version) or a PC. Also doesn’t change if you look at the same thread repeatedly.

 

I believe it’s something to do with incorrectly registering your visit. The front page says there’s 1,000 to 2,000 people online at all times which isn’t accurate. Before all the issues, in the early hours Eastern time there would rarely be more than a handful online.

To add to this, the forum used to default to showing who's online up to an inactivity period of 20 minutes. Now, it seems to show that people are online for a period of an inactivity of around 72 hours or so. Because of that, most of us are showing as being perpetually online when that's just not the case.

 

Would this just be a simple tweak, admin?

It was set up so Google made changes they thought were 'best', obviously only taking in profit and not if it's over the top or not. I have turned that off so hopefully it should be good now.
