Raps played like s*** and still arguably should have won, when you consider the technical fouls and how many wide open threes they clanked. Not worried.

 

Depth looks like a big issue though. The bench is awful. An injury to a starter could be catastrophic.

I’m pissed that Jody Meeks even saw the floor yesterday. The TV timeouts are like 5 min, I would be running the starters into the ground with only FVV, Ibaka, and Norm getting any time off the bench.

Yeah, they really need to slide guys out one at a time or something, so at least 3 or even 4 starters are on the floor at all times. Doing it as a partial unit isn't working, the bench is getting annihilated.

I just can't believe how unreliable VanVleet and Ibaka became all of a sudden. I wasn't expecting Serge to go toe-to-toe with Embiid or anything like that but he was just an idiot on both ends of the floor, and Fred can't hit a shot or even decently run the offense. Powell has always been inconsistent but he was getting cooked on defense, I couldn't believe how little we got out of all of them.

This is a series where it would be really nice to have JV over Ibaka to help with the rebounding. I'm not sure what is wrong with Fred, but there's so much length and effort level in the playoffs it seems like he never has any kind of open shot he can even get off.

Well obviously you'd love to have JV but then we wouldn't have Gasol dominating opposing matchups and running the offense so we just have to live with the bench and rebounding being an issue. We need much better lineups from Nurse though, Gasol has to be on for every single minute that Embiid is and Jodie Meeks should never ever play a meaningful playoff minute. Is Patrick McCaw not 100%? He's a very good long and athletic defender and is at least capable of making a few passes on the offensive end, I'd give him all of Meeks' minutes and possibly some of Powell's if he continues playing like this.

It's really something. They were total zeroes. Ibaka, I guess could have been expected since the fact that he was good this year was itself kind of surprising. Powell has been bad for a while so that's not surprising, despite his flashes of positive impact. FVV is a big surprise... not sure if he is choking or playing hurt or what it is.
