Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 OMFG Kawhi with a stepback 3 in double coverage! That was iconic
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 For the love of god cover Redick like glue here.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 2-2 going back to Toronto for Game 5. This is starting to look a lot better.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 For all the complaining, we really dominated this game. Many of the looks we missed were wide open, and ones we normally make. The ones they missed for the most part were heavily contested. This is a huge win where the score doesn't do the quality of play justice.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Also, thank God for Nurse who actually has the ability to adapt.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) Phewwwww Holy s*** Kawhi shot of the season! Edited May 5, 2019 by Carlos Danger
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Also, thank God for Nurse who actually has the ability to adapt. Yep, credit to Nurse for riding his horses and benching FVV an Powell. Keep that rotation very short unless it’s a blowout.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Did anyone watch the ABC feed? Good god, the apologetics for Philly were flying the entire second half. Idk how many times they brought up the fact that Embiid had a tummyache but they barely mentioned that Siakam wasn't even supposed to play. Also, lmfao @ that last foul on Green. Embiid elbowed Ibaka in the face, nothing. Green...exists in the wrong spot, fouls out.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 I watch Kawhi’s interviews and kind of wonder if he’s autistic.

Raptors could have easily led by a larger margin if they nailed some of those open looks from beyond the arc. Green, Gasol, Lowry, and Siakam need to drop those in. Ibaka shouldn't even be shooting 3's. Some sloppy turnovers and they need to improve slightly on closing possessions. I believe Philly outnumbered them on offensive boards again. Nurse did a good job today playing his best 5-6 players for majority of the game. He needed to do that with so much on the line. Leonard needs to play 40 mins per game moving forward, no excuses. Needs to be in at the 10 min mark in the 4th quarter all the time. FVF was garbage again today - I'd try with giving Lin a look next time if you need someone to play 4-5 mins.

He was horrible in the regular season against terrible teams, would be even worse against the Sixers.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 IMO FVV needs to re-focus on drive & kick and attack the paint, that’s his game, not shooting. He’ll hit those unusually deep threes more often than he should but on the whole his shooting isn’t consistent and Philly has so much length on defence that he isn’t getting open looks.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Under no circumstances should Lin be given any look. He was horrible in the regular season against terrible teams, would be even worse against the Sixers. Yeah they should still be Fred's minutes. He just needs to be smarter about how he plays. Philly's length basically neutralizes him as an offensive threat.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Nice back-and-forth shot-making in Portland to end the game. Joker is easy to root for

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Well guys, this is exactly what you wanted over the past four seasons. The Raptors had too much depth, great for winning 55 a season and bowing out of the playoffs. Now we see the exact opposite. The team has the best set of starters in their franchise history and barely any rotation, at least matching up against the 76ers. So you all should be ecstatic about this! Unless this team at least makes the finals, there in no chance Leonard is signing here. With Siakam playing at less than 100% what I saw today was Leonard playing one level of basketball and nine other jabronis on the court. Embiid needs to be given credit for his role in this Raptors win too. Three straight missed free throws and a travel turnover in the last few minutes of a close game. That is beyond DeRozan level of choke.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Um... Gasol and Lowry played good today. Serge was also pretty good compared to his other games in the playoffs.

They all finally showed up for like the first time this series. Will they all produce on Tuesday as well? Otherwise, all 3 have been pretty horrible this series offensively. If it wasn't for Leonard, the Raptors would have been swept by the 76ers. If this team still had DeRozan, there is no way they win Game 4 yesterday. Leonard has played above and beyond whereas the rest of this Raptors team (other than Siakam) have been nonexistent. Leonard is the one carrying this team on his shoulders right now.
