It would take some vodoo magic for this kid to fall on Masai’s lap.

All in on Suggs.

Really it's whoever is left. This draft is basically Cade......then the next three......then the next batch after that.

Raps just have to pick who's left from those 3 guys after Cade. No decision to be made.

Not alot of talk about Scottie Barnes but he has a ton of upside and may be the best wing selection if Jalen Green is taken before 4.

From what I've read Cade isn't that much better than the other top guys if at all, he just has the highest floor and most likely path to stardom because of his shot.

Maybe. But I don't see any scenario where he doesn't go #1. The other 3 seem to be more interchangeable from what I've been hearing. Although it does seem like Suggs slots in at #4 in most mock drafts.

I'm for Suggs as well. I wouldn't be upset with any of Suggs, Green, or Mobley, but my guess is it will come down to Suggs or Green (Mobley won't get past 3 IMO). A FVV/Suggs backcourt would work, and he fits in perfectly with this team.

Yeah I've read a lot of good stuff about him too. Comparisons to Draymond Green and a very poor man's Magic Johnson. Apparently if he can develop a shot from the outside, he'll be elite.

The highlight clip of Jalen Green makes him f***ing look incredible though....my god. I can't imagine he'll be there at 4 unfortunately.

Dream scenario would probably be Green > Mobley > Suggs in terms of fit & need. Talent they are very close.

If Raptors were still drafting 7, you’d know Masai & co will be all over Kuminga. I’m not opposed to it if Masai thinks he’s BPA, dude is an animal. Fit is not the greatest but you can work it out later, take best talent always.

Mitchell, Barnes, Bouknight, and Moody all seem decent after the top group. This is a pretty good year to draft high.

Interesting. I've seen a variation to that where Wiggins also gets thrown into that mix.

If the Raps truly are interested in getting younger, having Trent Jr. Wiseman, 4th overall, and 7th overall does that real fast.

Yeah, I don't necessarily hate that.

I'm very down on Siakam as a core piece. Would totally be on board with shedding him, particularly if they think there is a difference maker available at #7.

I've been hearing for a while that this is a very very good draft. Kuminga might not be around at 7 but he's the name that I was hearing the Raps were interested in when they were thought to be picking 7th.

I think Siakam can be the Draymond on a championship team as he proved in 2019 (3rd option, defensive star, etc) but the issue is the Raptors maxed him out and he's not a player that you build around. So if the Raptors keep him and he's their #1 option, then they will be a ceiling in terms of how far they can go. One of the reasons Masai is a great executive is because he always thinks big. He didn't value being in a play-in game because it ultimately meant nothing. If he sees a limit to a Siakam lead team, then trading him for younger pieces and a shorter contract makes sense.

Maybe something like Wiseman, Wiggins, #7, and #14 for Siakam, #46, and #47. Squeezing an extra 1st would be nice.

Wiggins pretty much has to be included to make salaries match.

Yup. Maybe he could be a useful 3rd option here for his final 2 seasons.

Canada wont qualify for the Olympics this year.

Shame, but they're missing some big pieces. Should be able to get it done next time, if everyone is healthy.

I'm curious what the NBA is going to do about some of these offensive fouls. Players are beginning to just stick their face as close as possible to the offensive player. I don't want to go back to what it used to be, where the go-to move was to swing your elbows around as hard as possible to clear space, but there has to be some sort of middle ground. A player should be able to bring the ball up to shoot without worrying about an offensive foul if it hits the defender in the nose.

Hard to not root for Giannis. Good for him

I think I read that Giannis doesn't spend time with his teammates and is a massive loner. You could see that after the buzzer went. He say by himself for a bit and cried and shared very little emotion with his teammates.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it's just really odd to see after a team went to war together and achieved the ultimate goal.

Much respect for the man - he was a dominant beast in the playoffs.
