Seeing how they've won three games already with him being terrible, I don't see how this can be true

One win was off a miracle 3, and another was in double OT. Asking for another win with Siakam wetting the bed all game is a lot. He doesn't need to drop 40 or anything, but at least hit his seasonal (pre bubble) averages. The good thing is he's at least playing good defense despite the bad shooting/offense. If he can just have one good game in game 7, it will go a long way.

OG made a key pass to Powell aside from his big 3 after a sweet spin move. I'm not saying hand him the ball and wait for him to make something happen, but he's absolutely a factor on offense with his cuts to the basket and his ice cold demeanour when we need him to hit big shots. He's a lot more than just a corner 3 specialist. He's made big strides offensively.

I’ve seen tremendous progression from OG in these playoffs. I feel he’s on a Kawhi-lite type of development track with obviously still a lot of ground to cover, specifically offensively.

I don't really care about basketball a whole lot, but the whining from M*******s is really making me root for the Raptors. They are going to need another big game from Education Reform and Black Lives Matter really needs to get his s*** together. They gotta shut down Freedom, too.

Way too many ugly turnovers. That’s the difference.

Have to think Gasol seems like five minute in the second half.

Siakam has been an unmitigated disaster to the point where I’m even concerned about his contract extension now.

Yeah. Nurse really REALLY needs to get him out of there.

we're probably in trouble as soon as lowry declines. Siakam and Fvv are not it.

Kind of have to trust the system, I guess. Guys like OG and Davis showed big promise this year.

FVV stepped up and was absolute money last year in the ECF and the Finals. Boston is a particularly bad matchup for him but he can be a Top 3/4 player on a championship team, as long as Siakam isn’t the nominal #1.

Boston was the worst matchup in the Eastern Conference for the Raptors. Still, went to Game 7 and could have won it despite Pascal not having a single good game in the entire series.

I agree post-Lowry life looks a little bleak, but hopefully Giannis is just around the corner. Just have one more transition season, preserve cap space, get a good 2nd round showing, and then gear up for the Greek Freak.

So now you guys are worried about Siakam after the fact. When I said the FO should have waited a year and got crapped on over it because he bitch slapped the Eastern Conference bottom feeders.

Ok so they got him for the next few years unless they can pull off the sign and trade for Giannis. Right now his stock is in the gutter. But he can rebuild and there are a few things working in his favour.

He's not Marc Gasol. Marc Gasol is Marc Gasol because he's old and slow. Siakam is Gasol because he's young and inexperienced. I don't know him personally but he doesn't seem like a Wiggins type who will phone it in after securing the contract. His s*** performance weighs on him. Toronto has a smart coaching staff who can teach him some new tricks and he will be a willing pupil. I think he'll come back next year as an improved player.

As far as the future is concerned, I'm hearing way too much DeRozan chatter. I'm assuming it's mostly very stupid Raptors fans and smarter NBA fans trying to troll the team. If Lowry is insistent on playing with DeRozan, they can both f*** off to the Knicks or something.

The most important thing right now is to keep Ujuri right where he is. If he pushes for Giannis now, you know his intent is to stay for the long-term. Even if he fails to ever recruit him to the Raptors, I have enough confidence in his ability to build a winner. Roster a deep team then find a way to score a top end talent.

In one breath Giannis says no way he’s going anywhere, than like a day later he starts erasing everyone from his social media (Including Bucks team account and teammates) except family.

I mean, he did erase a lot more than the Bucks but he had to know the optics, right?

I think everyone knew Kawhi left a better team 'weaker' conference to go home, so clearly championships was not his main objective. Still, the Raptors went as far as the Clippers did, except they didn't wet the bed in Game 7 like the Clips did.

Michael Porter has pretty much been non-existent for the Nuggs after complaining of the play-calling lol. Not a smart rookie.

... but yeah, Klaw goes home and Playoff P fizzles out. Looks like another Lebron title

Kawhi and Giannis are both gonna sign with the Raptors for 2022. Book it.

Paul George was worse than Siakam!

Two less expensive players who by advanced metrics played as well as George this season and a net of 6 first round draft picks is what the Clippers paid to get Kawhi and meet his demand of trading for George. When are GMs in the NBA going to get control of their own teams?

And that’s just the price of Klaw that was on the books lol.

I’m just spitballing but actually Ballmer seems like the kind of guy that was after some franchise relevancy and brand awareness. In that case, the moves were still solid I guess you could say

Wouldn't franchise relevancy and brand awareness be boosted more with winning?

Of course but it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. And they did “win” this year just not a title. A lot more attention was paid to the Clips during the regular season.

I remember reading a couple years ago their local channel ratings had dropped to some of the worst in the NBA. I’d wager they saw a nice bounce this year without knowing

He may not be smart - but he's a future superstar if he stays healthy.
