Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 FVV has such a great understanding of what's happening on the court. He really does, such an excellent player. I used to not be a fan at all back in his rookie year, he's really proved me wrong and continued to improve every year since.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 The team starting to look dangerous now past the midway point in the second quarter.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Ibaka takes so many off the ball fouls pushing for Offensive rebounds.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Kawhi Leonard not used to getting Raptors refereeing. He was as frustrated as I've ever seen him, refs in midseason form. Ibaka was so bad, like incredibly bad. Worst player on either team tonight.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Ibaka was so bad, like incredibly bad. Worst player on either team tonight. That's being generous.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Not a pretty win. Raps showed flashes but also looked sloppy for long stretches. I have confidence that they'll put it together with some more games under their belt.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 FVV has such a great understanding of what's happening on the court. Hes been my favorite player on the team since last year. Hes such a hard worker on defense And Ibaka misses another wide open dunk... Meanwhile Ibaka is easily the player I hate the most. I feel like his salary could be so much better used. Not a pretty win. Raps showed flashes but also looked sloppy for long stretches. I have confidence that they'll put it together with some more games under their belt. Just gotta give Kawhi some time to get his game back, and he should be able to put this team on his back
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Ibaka’s f***in trash. Horrible player making good money. Grrrrrrr......

If you use it in a commercial product, you pay royalties. If you want to play around with the numbers or use it for your thesis or something, maybe you can advance the sport. This current trend in all the sports where they gather craploads of data, and most of it is only available to the teams or deep pocket commercial companies is just plain annoying.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 If anyone wants tickets for the game tonight let me know. Sec 320, Row 6. $200 for the pair, which are cheaper than my season seat holder price.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 F U Celtics!!! LETS GO RAPTORS!!!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 What a great game by the Raps!
43211234 Verified Member Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 The Pelicans play at a ridiculous pace. They beat the Kings 149-129 tonight.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Don’t know why the Cavs made Kevin Love untradable with a horrible contract. They are going to be so bad, would’ve been better to not have Love.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 The Raps look like they're just toying with an opponent that probably makes the playoffs. The talent level is just insane.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 The Raps look like they're just toying with an opponent that probably makes the playoffs. The talent level is just insane. If there's a single person that looks at Kawhi's takents and still misses Demar, they're watching the wrong sport.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 If there's a single person that looks at Kawhi's takents and still misses Demar, they're watching the wrong sport. Kawhi is literally a better version of Demar in every way, except maybe if you squint hard enough in facilitating. Better midrange shooter which is Demar's whole game, and then the dribbling, outside shooting and defense are on a whole other stratosphere.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Man, the Spurs are playing with midrange shooters gallore out there and yet their ball movement is still so good, Pop is amazing.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 If there's a single person that looks at Kawhi's takents and still misses Demar, they're watching the wrong sport. But loyalty and all that ********.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 But loyalty and all that ********. More like contract length - Leonard is likely gone in a year. Though even the biggest DeRozan fan must recognise Kawhi is the better player.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Popovich drawing up some amazing plays in OT, especially the Mills jumper to end it. He and the Spurs are just a treat to watch. DeRozan looks fantastic for my Spurs on the offensive end, but it's the same old defense. Hopefully they can work that out before the playoffs.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Raps Bench looks like grabage. Hardly any movement and a lot of standing around.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Raps Bench looks like grabage. Hardly any movement and a lot of standing around. Really shows the effect that FVV has.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 More like contract length - Leonard is likely gone in a year. Though even the biggest DeRozan fan must recognise Kawhi is the better player. I'm in the camp where DeRozan's contract is a negative asset, or at best neutral. So the Raps get one year with the best shot in franchise history of making the finals, plus Ujuri gets a do-over on how he wants to spend that cap space. There is absolutely no downside here. Even if DeRozan becomes a complete player mid-way through his career, good on the Spurs for coaching that out of him. It was clear that he and the team had a ceiling while he was here. How many times could I count people asking for a rebuild in this thread after the Raps chumped out of the playoffs early? Well, this is the best f***ing way to do a rebuild I've ever seen.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Forget Kawhi, Danny Green is a more impactful player than dd
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Just wondering, but why does Kawhi want so badly to go play second fiddle to an aging LeBron James who is currently on a worse team in a harder conference when he could be the star on easily the best team in the East?
