Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Question. Could Bismack and Val share the court together? Or is it just a thing that they are both centers and you can't have them on together. Bismack can guard pretty well anyone, so I don't think you have to worry about too many bigs out there. When the Cavs made their run in the last game it was when they brought in Frye and they had Biz on him at the arc opening up the post for easy layups and dunks. Having Val out there theoretically closes that gap?
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 IMO they should stick James Johnson on Frye. Probably the best defender on the team and could score on Frye who is a pretty poor defender.

JV's got polish and a nice midrange game near the foul line but he doest really shoot many jumpers from the baseline, which is where he would be pushed off too. biyombo cant do anything offensively outside of the restricted area. neither of them can shoot the 3 obviously so they cant even fake being a threat.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 What did he post "Lions and tigers are big but wolves don't perform in the circus"
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Don't blame him for not knowing! He's black!! They don't talk about advanced stats!! Its pretty true
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 The article is so bad that it's really not worth dissecting on any level... doing so would serve to validate it. Not coherent in the slightest. I think it raised some valid points. You always here about the directives in place when hiring executives and coaches now where you have to interview black candidates. If those black candidates aren't embracing even the most basic advanced stats, I think Wilbon is saying that's a huge reason why they aren't getting the jobs. Sure he weaves in and out of coherence in the article and the way he presents his sources is suspect, but what he's trying to get at is probably very real. And he's not presenting it in a way that blames the old white establishment either, he's really putting the responsibility on blacks for not changing with the times.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Yikes, we've gotta stop these offensive rebounds.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 The rebounding has been awful early on. I blame this on Scola mostly.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Literally giving away points on these rebounds and whatever the hell Carrol just did.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 This is not the start they needed.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 PPat needs to come in for Scola
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Scola should not play ever I agree
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Nice recovery following the entrance of JV.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Nice recovery following the exit of Scola. Yep
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 It's two different teams when they play in their respective homecourts.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 It's two different teams when they play in their respective homecourts. I don't get it. I know playing on the road is more difficult, but it shouldn't be like this.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I don't get it. I know playing on the road is more difficult, but it shouldn't be like this. Our energy level is just too low atm, combined with the offensive rebounds at the start. We clean that up and we should be able to get back in it. If we don't, it's gonna be another blowout.

Frag Verified Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Does each team have road allergies or something? This is ridiculous. Cavs not missing anything.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I think it's time to sit the regulars and get them some rest. See if the bench can come up with something.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Annnnnd blowout not watching but gonna guess they are down by like, 5.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 not watching but gonna guess they are down by like, 5. Ooooooooh so close. http://i.imgur.com/fcziXPk.png
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Unwatchable. Watching that, it's hard to believe the Raptors are in the NBA, let alone won 2 games against Cleveland.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 He's saying that black people don't care about math so the rest of us should shop caring about it too. I didnt get that from the article at all, I felt he was saying that plenty of black poeple are good at math, but very few care about analytics. I also didn't get anything about analytics being used to push blacks out of the coaching or executives role. I felt he was calling out black people who play the " not enough blacks in these positions" card and was stating that if blacks don't covet or care about the same things that you need to get hired in these positions, it's their own fault.
