Laika Community Moderator Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I don't know about his desire, he's just not very good. He is a very passive player. If Ross drove more to the hoop and sought out contact like Demar did he'd be much more tolerable. Calling him passive is better than calling him lazy. Pretty blatant racism by ECJF. Black man does not succeed - must be lazy!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Is this a roundabout way of saying that part of it is Casey? No. Casey doesn't even run the offense, which is a whole other issue. Ross gets his chances in iso plenty, he needs to use some of those to attack the basket.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 When it doubt I find you can't go wrong with blaming Casey. James Johnson played pretty good last night, hopefully Carroll is back on Tuesday so we wont have to ever see him again

I think if you go some pages back, he might have implied that Ross avoids contact like girl. Nail him for that one too, the misogynist pig!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 What coaches could the Raptors realistically hire?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 What coaches could the Raptors realistically hire? Kevin Ollie
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Kevin Ollie Do we want to go down the college route? The last thing I'd want as a Raps fan is another awful in-game manager. Bob Voulgaris who seems like a really smart NBA guy was recently tweeting that almost all college coaches flame out in the NBA. Weird random stat: Ollie was a point guard yet attempted 29 3-point attempts in his entire career.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Random NBA fact I found: The Celtics' GM is a former Blue Jay.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I'm not really sure how much of a difference a new coach would make with this team. Casey is bad but there's only so much you can do with a roster that doesn't have any elite talent.

Lowry was an elite player for most of last year so maybe he regains his form.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Random NBA fact I found: The Celtics' GM is a former Blue Jay. I thought that was common knowledge. Danny Ainge! It would certainly help. Look at the Hawks.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Atlanta has way more talent than us though. Although if we can get the next Budenholzer go for it but Masai probably doesn't even know what makes a good coach since he's fine with Casey and was fine with Karl in Denver.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 coaches can make players so much better though. A great coach probably can make Derozan an effective player.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Oh I just remembered Casey was a strong advocate of Ross and a reason why we took him over Drummond. Fire his ass into the sun now.
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 We have an extra first rounder this year i believe still from the Bargnani deal, we get knicks or nuggets pick whichever is worse. could be top 10
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 It's hindsight 101.. and it's also a very small sample size.. but a ton of people wanted Masai to pick Clint Capela two years back (Bruno draft) and now he's looking like he could actually become something really good. Annoying.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Can we just start JJ at the 4 when Carroll is back? Holy f*** Scola is awful.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Holy f***, that entire sequence. CoJo absolutely shatters someone's ankles, ball movement, more ball movement, perfectly executed 2 man game with Lowry and Bennett.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Laboring against the f***ing knicks. yep this team aint going far in the playoffs.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Knicks pick probably won't be as high as everyone thought coming into the season. Maybe in the 13-17 range.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Patterson is officially useless. He can't make a 3 point shot.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 lmfao he was at least a half foot out of bounds
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 i predict a derozan fadeaway for the final play
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 ******** strikezone tonight. Roboumps please
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 What a ridiculous non-call. Awful refereeing as usual. Thanks Obama
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 time to tank, the knicks are not going to give us a good draft pick
