Swervin81 Verified Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Yes the 5 minutes he's played is very telling. Him, Bruno, and Bebe should be going to the d-league next week. I'm hoping Powell continues playing how he did yesterday to displace Ross from the rotation as well. I know, Sixers, but he contributed more yesterday than Ross has in, like, his last 4 or 5 games.
Tuco Verified Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Powell is explosive, has a solid handle and extremely aggressive. Sure he needs to improve his distance shooting but these types of players are very valuable in todays NBA. Looks like a poor mans version of D Wade.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Are we calling 2nd rounders "poor man's version of D-Wade" after brief time against the 76ers now
Tuco Verified Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Are we calling 2nd rounders "poor man's version of D-Wade" after brief time against the 76ers now There's a huge variance when calling someone a "poor mans version". It all depends on how you take that statement. I say it as someone who will stay in the league, possibly be a starter in a few years if things go right and plays a similar style. It doesnt in anyway mean I think he's anywhere close to as good as Wade, hence me saying poor.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 ^Do you even know what basketball is yes I do. Raptors still don't know how to play when they get bodied up hard in a game. They get frustrated, then taking bad shot and then start chucking up ugly 3s- the fold up when they get push back.... just the way it is. their catch and chuck shooters cant shoot if they have to fight for shots opportunities.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 You say that like they don't take bad shots and ugly 3's normally too. Raptors have some of the physically toughest players in the NBA. Jonas, Lowry, Demar, Caroll and Biyombo are all troopers. JJ is f***ing terrifying.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Steph Curry might be the most fun player to watch in NBA history.
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Steph Curry might be the most fun player to watch in NBA history. 46 again yesterday, dude is insane
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 46 again yesterday, dude is insane Best part is that he isn't even taking that many shots. Its not like he's Kobe taking 30 shots a game. Guy has a TS% of over 70% which is insane let alone for a PG.. I'd love to see the Warriors live. Tickets are so expensive for when they come to Toronto though.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 If only he didn't play on a stacked team he would be a more realistic target for the raps than durant. He's lived here and his wife is from Markham. We were so close to being able to draft him too if only we lost a few more games or the lottery went our way. BC probably would have passed on him though.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Demarre is back so it's time for JJ to hit the bench again
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Demarre is back so it's time for JJ to hit the bench again All so we can see Bennett shoot air balls and try and pass it to no one in the corner for the old dump and chase.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Raptors905 throws it away at the buzzer Bruno 16/13 or sth, Nogueira lots of fouls, blocks and rebounds
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Bruno has copied Demar's chucking tendencies unfortunately... but at least he's chucking it from the 3 pt line.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Bruno has copied Demar's chucking tendencies unfortunately... but at least he's chucking it from the 3 pt line. Well, no. Demar chucks, Bruno's still kinda running around like a chicken with his head cut off.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Shooting 3`s and blocking shots is the only thing Bruno can do. He makes Ross look like KG when it comes to basketball IQ. Running around with his head cut off sums it up pretty well
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Damn just noticed Clint Capela has been playing pretty well this year...
43211234 Verified Member Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Didn't know all dleague games were streamed on youtube. Interesting. Here's the VOD of the 905 game if anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmLEo_49soc
Chappy Community Moderator Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 This raptor game is fantastic.
43211234 Verified Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 They can't miss a three. At least since I started watching at halftime.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Jeez Derozan takes just awful shots.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Demar Derozan and Rudy Gay are terrible at basketball
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 WHAT THE f*** WAS THAT LOWRY blow it up that's it
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 These last few possessions are painful to watch. Awful basketball on both sides.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Derozan is such a disaster on both sides of the ball.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Like does he think he's f***ing Steph Curry or something?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Looked like there were about five steps there.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Looked like there were about five steps there. In my brief glipse it was a long 2 and he kept his pivot down
