Last I heard, Lowry was asking for four years and $50-million. A deal starting at $14.5 would either be front-loaded or shorter term.

That's more promising.

As much as I want Lowry in Toronto, hopefully it doesn't come at a massive overpay.

There have been so many f***ing fake rumors from somewhat reputable sources over the last week regarding Lowry.

Everyone is just throwing s*** at a wall hoping it sticks.

Also,

Happy one year anniversary of Bargs to NY! (aka the turning point for this franchise)

I was playing 2K14 and the Knicks wanted to trade Bargnani back to the Raps for Novak and Fields. LOL. Nope.

I thought this was an interesting tidbit about Toronto's draft selection.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/basketball/the-tracking-of-a-basketball-big-foot/

He was the youngest player in the draft class and his wingspan is reportedly 7-foot-7. According to a database at DraftExpress.com, which includes records going back more than 15 years, Caboclo would be the first player 6-foot-9 and under in the NBA with a wingspan that wide. He would instantly have the second-widest reach in the NBA, topped only by Rudy Gobert, a 7-foot-2 centre with the Utah Jazz.

Moreover, his hands are massive, with fingers that reach halfway up your forearm on a handshake.

If you're drafting 20... which historically is just dime a dozen scrubs, then you might as well take a moonshot.

Problem is bledsoe is going to get a max offer from a number of teams so he probably won't choose us.

I think Greivis Vasquez could be a decent starting point guard. He averaged 13.9 PPG with 9 APG and 4.3 RPG just two years ago.

Isaiah Thomas then? Swing a trade somewhere? Avery Bradley and have Derozan run the offense a bit?

Too bad he's a pylon though. Would be Jose Calderon all over again but with less offense.

How is Isaiah's defense? I haven't watched him much. And Avery Bradley is not a point guard.

I think if Lowry leaves, the best replacement available would be Darren Collison.

Yeah, you slot Bradley in at point and let him move off the ball and knock down threes (39% last year? something like that) and Demar takes the ball up the court like he did a lot of last year. You'd need a lot more movement and less isolations with that kind of offense but I think I'd enjoy that, honestly. You wouldn't lose a thing on defense Lowry->Bradley. I think Bradley might even be better.

Isaiah's defense.. from what I've heard, from a guy his size, it's good, but next to league average, he's some below average. You can cover him without worry though, he's not THAT much of a liability. And market price on him is like 6-7m.

Imo Isaiah > Collison but there's always the trade route. Wonder who's out there.

Apparently the Pistons offered Isaiah 3/24. dunno how good the source is but that seems like something that's gonna happen.

GV is not a starting PG. He's perfect in a backup PG/combo guard type of role.

I can;t read tweets at work. I'm assuming it's re: Lowry to Houston :(

dineke is dumn, all it says is that Ujiri and Casey met up with him and now he's going to think about the offer.

lel I've been a fan of the Raptors long enough to know that when a FA is "mulling" an offer, it means they're not coming here.
