Everyone is trying to be a superstar this offseason with the reporting. Read on RealGM that Houston sports radio is reporting that Lowry-to-Houston is a done deal..... WTf

Have never followed a basketball story like this before... these reporters seem to be even worse than baseball ones in terms of credibility and journalistic integrity.

Marc Spears of Yahoo reported yesterday that they had offered a deal starting at $14.5M... then later retracted and said he received a scam text from someone posing as a Raptors front office member.

 

You report anything that's texted to you!?!

 

Then there was the Lowry to Heat in sign-and-trade thing, and there were dozens of legitimate reporters saying the Raptors would sign him at midnight. Like, they didn't even meet with him until today!

 

And the Heat don't have any cap space (if Bosh and Wade take big cuts they'll have $12M) yet they're tossed around as a serious player?

I guarantee there is one hilarious guy just trolling all of these reporters intentionally. It has to be. Someone has a vendetta against the media.

Heat won't get Gortat. Washington has resigned him to a 5 year/$60M deal. Looks like LeBron will be leaving Miami soon.. as Carmelo won't sign with Miami nor will Lowry.

LeBron said he'd leave if Miami's ownership didn't upgrade the roster. The problem is that Miami can't afford it with the salaries of the Big 3 if they resign because of cap concerns.

Wow 5/60 for Gortat? JV's going to get paid in a couple in a couple of years.

That's a terrible deal for the Wiz, but whatever it weakens a conference rival.

 

Monroe's going to get overpaid as well this off season and I recently read a point about us facing the same situation with Jonas soon. Good but not great bigs coming off rookie contracts are financial landmines and never end well for the teams signing them.

He's also going to be 35-36 in the last year of this deal.

 

He's a good player but he's not worth that much. Something like 3/24 would've been ideal. This is way too much.

3/24 is way low for a top 10 center.

Yeah, you slot Bradley in at point and let him move off the ball and knock down threes (39% last year? something like that) and Demar takes the ball up the court like he did a lot of last year. You'd need a lot more movement and less isolations with that kind of offense but I think I'd enjoy that, honestly. You wouldn't lose a thing on defense Lowry->Bradley. I think Bradley might even be better.

 

Isaiah's defense.. from what I've heard, from a guy his size, it's good, but next to league average, he's some below average. You can cover him without worry though, he's not THAT much of a liability. And market price on him is like 6-7m.

 

Imo Isaiah > Collison but there's always the trade route. Wonder who's out there.

 

If we lose Lowry, I would love to see us make a reasonable run at Eric Bledsoe

The Cavs are offering Gordon Hayward a max contract..my god what a fantastic organization.

 

He isn't the two way player people make him out to be. I honestly think him being white helps him obtain this "gritty defender" label

What's wrong with 5/55. It's a very good AAV for us.

 

Most would have been happy with 4/50, so one way to look at it is a 5 yr player option for 5 million
