Buyout on his deal was 600 euros. Same price as Caboclo. I think he'll be with us. Amazing. He's got the hair and the defensive chops. Exactly the backup C we needed. God damn Ujiri.

Omg this is trade rape... someone arrest Masai!

We get a lengthy DPOY 7 footer and a bench scorer for cap room cause they think they're gonna get Lebron lol

Stole this from RealGM:

Masai has essentially turned R.Gay into

G.Vasquez

P.Patterson

L.Williams

L.Nogueira (2013 1st Rd Pick).

f***ing amazing

This team is starting to develop some serious depth...

C: JV, Bebe

PF: Amir, PP, Bruno

SF/SG: Demar, T-Ross, Williams

PG: Lowry, Vasquez

Throw in a few decent role players like Psycho T, and De Colo and we really have a f***ing awesome, young team moving forward.

Very few useless players on that squad. They all have upside or can contribute right away. No junk like Buycks or Stone.

Williams is a pretty solid guard by himself (20.2 PER just a few years ago)... but to get a 7 footer who was a 1st rounder LAST YEAR is pretty impressive.

Williams tore his ACL back in early 2013 and was noticeably worse last year. However, he's only 27 and usually see full improvement after 18 months, which would be this August.

Bring back PPat and GV, this bench is going to be amazing.

COME BACK KYLE, WE ARE A CONTENDER! :(

Scouting Report:

http://www.nbadraft.net/players/lucas-nogueira

"Strengths: A project, but one with loads of untapped potential ... His game has made some noticeable strides over the past 6 months ... A high level athlete even by NBA standards with ridiculous size/length at 7' feet, with a 7'6 wingspan. His combination of length and fluidity/athleticism makes him an extremely intriguing prospect ... Quick reflexes ... He even shows some touch around the basket and a decent offensive feel. While not much of an outside threat, his midrange game shows some ability and potential to develop ... He's best at scoring on garbage baskets and can get out on the break and finish ... Seems to understand what he does well offensively and stays "within himself" ... Solid rebounder. Goes after the ball on both ends and although his positioning could improve, he's got natural rebounding abilities ... Quick feet. From Brazil, and his footwork is excellent, a "futball" upbringing has given him excellent foot dexterity. Able to slide his feet laterally better than the average 7-footer ... Solid hands. A 60% free throw shooter, which is not great but good for his age and position and should improve ... As the 2012-13 season has progressed, his defense has shown some improvement."

Biggest knock is that he's lazy. Get him into a winning culture and that'll change.

This trade makes no sense. Maybe if ATL could save like 10-12M or something so they could sign a true star.... But they only save 6M and gave up two legit assets.

WTF

Hawks accomplished what they wanted. They wanted to clear cap to sign a star - if they don't offer any QOs to their 3 bench guys who are free agents they will have 16 million to spend.

The thing about Masai is, he sees a situation where it can benefit his team and he pounces. I love him

Id actually prefer to trade GV at this point if we're bringing back Kyle. Williams and De Colo are more than serviceable and we coud always use an extra swing player or draft pick

Ya he's raw but he finishes really well around the rim. In his current role of backup C, we don't need anything more than finishing ability/good rebounder/great defense.

I love Vasquez as the backup PG. Brings a ton of swagger and I think we get him for a hometown discount. He loves it here.

Kid is a legit 7 footer with agility and some decent post moves.

He clearly just needs to fill out a bit more. Jesus f***ing Christ.

They say he is the Brazilian Kevin Durant.

Boner alert:

Wow ridiculous reach, with him nothing inside is easy for the opposition.

So the soonest we can tell Hayes to DIAF is next year?

I also love Williams, he's a good scorer and a solid bench piece to have that can come in the game and score immediately while giving our guards some rest. Amazing deal, Ujiri does it again.

Hayes has an expiring deal next year.. Masai probably could turn him into something as well. Probably not though.

So on offense he's a massive target, is agile, great at executing the pick & roll, catches everything and his insane wingspan allows him to finish easily around the rim. Wow!

Edit: and he also takes gigantic strides so while he's no sprinter he still covers a lot of ground as he runs the floor.

Some dude on Real GM posted this (assumes a KL extension at 11M a year along with PP and GV extensions)..... Not sure why he has Amir at 10.5 though so that should be subtracted.
