HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 John Lott @LottOnBaseball 1m Gibbons says Morrow had setback in rehab start last night, having forearm re-examined. tj
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Luis Perez also suffered a setback in his return from Tommy John surgery. His rehab has been stopped, Gibbons called it a minor issue. The next two candidates for the Delabar Throwing Program.
Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Morrow is f***ing brittle as glass Don't need him
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 With Wang and Rogers pitching well, do we really need him back yet?
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 With a full bullpen as is.. he can take as much time as needed. And we still have Santos to think about as well.
Figgy1R22R Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 No one should be surprised by this
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 With Wang and Rogers pitching well, do we really need him back yet? You expect Rogers to put quality starts together? The guy is a 2-pitch pitcher with bad control
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Lost any faith in morrow. we are doing Ok without him at his point I don't care.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 You expect Rogers to put quality starts together? The guy is a 2-pitch pitcher with bad control He has added another pitch, and I agree he probably won't keep it up, but morrow has stunk, prob not much difference at this point.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Hopefully Wang and Rogers can keep this up and hopefully Morrow can be back at the all star break.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Morrow is SOFT! This kind of thinking is just plain dumb.
Tuco Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 This kind of thinking is just plain dumb. No it really isnt. It's like Dickey said a week ago. Theres some guys who can only pitch when there 100% and then theres others who man up and take the ball even when not feeling perfect. At this point these injuries with Morrow arent a fluke thing and its obvious the guy is made of glass or extremely soft.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 If we go into next season counting on Morrow anymore than we can count on McGowan, I'm gonna freak. I've given up on morrow at this point. His stuff didn't look as filthy this year either in my opinion. Still a great trade by AA!

He does seem to be mentally soft with his up and down swings from inning to inning.
flafson Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Question is, if you put him on the Delabar program, is he still going to be soft? Only one way to find out.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I'm over morrow... anything/if anything he does for now on is just a bonus

Either you are a guy who throws 80 MPH and you can pitch through more injuries or you're not.

I'd try to keep him on the DL as long as possible until we need another starter either due to regression from Wang or Rogers or an injury.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Do you guys think Hutchison will be able to come back around August? I can't remember at what point he opted for surgery last year and if I recall it can take anywhere from 8 months to more than a year to come back.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Hutch is expected back in mid-to-late August at the earliest.
KSaw Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Hutch is expected back in mid-to-late August at the earliest. I expect that Hutchison will be a September call up but Im not sure if he'll pitch any meaningful innings. His rehab should start in August and may even be cut short due to seasons ending.
