theblujay Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Seriously. Every single time a Jays player gets hurt they are out 2-3 times longer (or more) than expected. "Pitcher is day-to-day. He'll probably start"...next day: "Pushed back a few days"...."15 DL, AAA scrub called up". It's happened to Lawrie, Morrow, Dickey, Johnson, Santos?, McGowan (Numerous times), ect.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Its f***ing pathetic when you think about. Makes AA look like an amatuer. So does all his yo-yoing of 21-25th men over the past year and a bit.
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Oh Santos needs surgery. I guess I should take the ? away from his name.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 The bright side is though that Jose Reyes looks like he is gonna be playing alot sooner than we thought
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Isn't Luis Perez coming back soon?

Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 It certainly makes the organization look incompetent and to be quite honest, they probably are. The sheer number of injuries and the fact that they mislead us every time suggests they are either trying to cover up injuries to squeeze out every single ticket sale they can before dropping the bomb, or they just have no f***ing idea what they are doing. In either case, this is a terribly run organization and I think most people realize that by now.

Players get hurt all the time but the Jays injuries seem to come out of left field. Santos was pitching a few days ago in extended spring training, now he needs surgery? Bizarre. It would be a good research project to see if other teams similarly misdiagnose their players injuries.

In past years this was never an issue with the misleading on a constant basis. From time to time I could understand and things happen, but every injury?

AA is just guessing. he has never played and has no idea what injuries you can play through or what kinds are career ending.

Its kinda nonsense, pro sports nonsense but all it does is buy a few days for the organization but the embarrassment is huge. Doesn't look good on the organization.
omair_rana Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 My theory on this, for this season in particular Is that the Jays know ticket buying fans are fickle (and rightfully so). Any long term injuries would yield fans buying less tickets in advance Hence they have misled the public on every single injury this year!
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
