Now we can assume it.

Imagine being a supplemental first rounder and not even making out of the GCL! Most bust stories at least involve low-A or the tough transition to AA. I remember people were worried during the draft that Gonzales' delivery would mandate a move to the pen. Well, it apparently also prevented him from throwing the ball in the general direction of the plate.

I liked that pick too. I had him about even with Justin Garza in my rankings that year. Guess we took the wrong short hard throwing righty.

I think starting the year in AAA next year is pretty much a given.

Kid is moving quick this year. Nice to see a position player put it together once in this org.

Undrafted in BBDL!

I considered it, but decided to wait till next year. Then again, I thought I could still get Norris this year and that didn't work out.

Barreto 2 for 2 with 2 HRs. Elite.

Pentecost 2 for 2 with a double.

I really believe these two should definitely move up a level for the reat of the month

The jays usually do move guys up late in the year to give players a taste of what they're going to face the next year. Unless of course they're in the playoffs, then they'll probably stay put

One thing that stand out to me about Pentecost is the lack of walks. Only 2 walks this year and even in college he had a low walk rate. Now it could be the case of him being such a good hitter that he makes contact so much that he hasn't really learned to lay off pitches. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

No walks and no power definitely is concerning.

Stud SS Richard Urena 4/5 .335

Chubby 1B Tellez 4/5 .274

Urena definitely can swing the bat, only 18 years old. How does his defense project?

Super below average. They are gonna move him to dh

He's a good defender and the chance to stick at SS are greats

Blue Jays have some really good depth at SS in the minors. I think we all know Barreto moves to 2B/CF but there is still Lugo, Urena, Guidino who I hear all have a decent shot at sticking at SS. Hopefully 1 of those 3 can pan out.

you could, you know, give him an actual answer instead

Sensitive? If it was a joke, you could have followed up with a serious answer.

My bad but king would know more then I. I remember him saying he has the best chance to stick at short out of lugo, barreto and urena.

Daniel Norris' day is done. 6.2 innings, no walks and 8 strikeouts. 1 earned run on five hits, including a homerun.

Sensitive isn't the right word. It's far beyond that, actually. It's clinical.

Getting involved where you don't belong as usual i see. I would love to see what you're all about in person.. What a laugh that would be.

The least surprising response award goes to gruber92, sadly.

It would be sad, from my perspective. Very sad.

I really feel for you. I mean, someone looking for self worth by imposing their seemingly witted comments on an internet message board when they are not even involved in the conversation to begin with?

You must be all over the Yahoo news stories. Go get em bro.

Great start for Norris. Burns played 2b today, don't know if he's played there much this year, but hopefully he can stick there.

Dejong with a nice outing today: 5IP, 3H, 0ER, 0BB, 5K.
