imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Almost 100 pages in this thread...imagine how many we could have if we had a real farm system. Our system is rated in the bottom because most of the guys are in lower minors. f***ing sucks not having Noah Syndergaard and Travis D'arnaud tho. Couldn't we just have tried to sign a type A free agent pitcher because our pick was protected? Man... They dropped the ball on that one.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Matt Dean may just be, maybe, finding his stroke Time to move him up a level... sink or swim
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Cardona sat 95-97 and touched 98 tonight. Minor league gun so take it with a grain of salt, but even taking 2 mph off, that's still great for a 19 year old. Too bad he hasn't been able to control it for s***, and pitched a total of 55 innings so far in his pro career stateside. I think he's done pretty well this season.. Getting a lot of groundballs, lots are finding holes and defense isn't helping much at all late inning guy, AA will love it.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Urena, D. Barreto, F.Barreto, Lugo We also signed Gudino this year Urena and Gudino can't hit. Barreto can't catch Lugo 3B??
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 C'mon man, gotta bring out the negatives haha Objectivity, not negativity.
mitchf Verified Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Let us all remember when Dinger said that NONE of our International signings would make it to AA ball.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Let us all remember when Dinger said that NONE of our International signings would make it to AA ball. I see some future in: Osuna, Barreto, Tirado and Labourt
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Okay... Do you have any good things to say about Lugo/Urena/Barreto/Gudino Or are you just here to s*** on the parade lol Barreto - Good bat-speed, plate discipline (for his age) and above avg speed Urena - Looks good on the SS and he has made good contacts but ....... his bat is slow, I've seen him stay behind Vs low speed fastballs (DSL) Gaudino - Most reports say the same "glove, no bat" Lugo - For me, he isn't very athletic. He has some power in his bat but he's a free-swingger.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Aaron Sanchez today http://media4.aicmail.net:8080/milb/gameaudio/livestreamflash/fsl_dunedin_blue_jays
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Thanks angrioter. How does Deiferson barreto look? Speedy guy. The kid run well and take many pitches by AB. I saw him taking a 10-pitch AB last week, really good for his ages.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 holy s***, Snow White and only one dwarf.
theblujay Verified Member Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 Kendall Graveman is starting today for Lansing Is he the guy from MS ST?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Shane Dawson having a a great year so far for Bluefield. Now 20 IP, 29K to just 2 walks. Listening to the Pulaski radio feed today(terrible by the way), he had pinpoint command of his curveball, Striking out 9 in 4 innings. The only thing they never mentioned was velocity.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 DJ Davis 2-4, 2 dingers Shane Dawson 4IP, 2h and 9 K's
Caper Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 DJ Davis 2-4, 2 dingers both inside the park!! Wow,
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I hope rowdy makes his pro debut tomorrow was he assigned?
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Not sure, we will find out tomorrow I guess Guessing Bluefield for Brentz and the GCL for Rowdy.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Guessing Bluefield for Brentz and the GCL for Rowdy. I think GCL for both, that's where all of the high school pitchers have gone this year Evan Smith is 17????
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I'm tired of the way they baby pitchers. Brentz is 11 months older than Smith, 5-6 months older than Tellez. I hope they place him aggressively.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I could see him making a few appearances in the GCL to get his feet wet in pro ball. And then make a decision from there He's 18 and pro debut....He should debut in the instructional league, lower level
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Jays aren't aggressive with pitchers, He will start in GCL What happened with canadian boy Tom Robson?
8D Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I've seen a few pictures of Tellez now and every picture kinda scares me. He's... pretty big bonned. But hey, if he can hit like Fielder i don't give a f***!

theblujay Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 both inside the park!! Wow, Really? Two inside the park HRs in one game is pretty insane.
theblujay Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 We actually have a few nice pitchers in the lower levels. Bluefield's pitchers have been doing pretty well in what box scores I've seen. Robson, Dawson, DeJong, Tirado, Labourt, Biggs...
8D Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 http://mlblogsredstatebluestate.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/pablo20sandoval20cake-thumb-280x136-19807611.gif that's brutal!!! lololol Really? Two inside the park HRs in one game is pretty insane. Ya, I don't think I've ever even heard of that before.
theblujay Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 Ya, I don't think I've ever even heard of that before. He's off to a pretty good start, which makes me pretty happy as he's been my avatar all year.
theblujay Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 No, he's full of s*** Can we figure this out somehow?
