So do these games he's missing count towards his suspension?

 

You would assume they do, to some extent. Time served... but right now he's on paid leave so it's not exactly time served.

 

There will be some arbitrary consideration of the time he has missed already I think. Very arbitrary.

Seem like it's taking a while. My guess is that it'll be just for the rest of the season.

that would be Draconian. I would guess something closer to 80 games, maximum. Really depends what they know.

Fun fact: I begged North for us to use our last waiver pick on Matt Chapman and he was fairly opposed. s*** happens.

Just out of curiosity... Where you eyeing Michael Fullmer? The fact that you took him very early in the LOD draft influenced me to take him early here but nobody batted an eyelash at that choice

He was already a Top 50 prospect (on average) for the major sites. I'm just a happy owner. I would like to get incrementally younger and I don't expect him to fetch a major piece, so I'll probably keep him indefinitely. I think he'll basically be what Cervelli is for me now, just with a bit more power and a much more appealing age.

 

Literally every time you say something like this you trade the guy a few days later.

I got a trade offer straight from North a few days ago. It was exactly the same offer I sent to GD a few weeks ago but GD declined. But after my last couple trades, I can't move the guy I was offering at that time because it would make me way too shallow at that position. So I've been trying to find a 3rd team to bring into this deal. Wonder if this contributed to it? And the fact he missed out on Willson Contreras, Francis Martes, and Matt Chapman. Can't be because he's losing, he's leading the TBC Division at the moment.

Martes has been sucky this year :( I picked him over Contreras in the FC waiver draft, which is bumming me out.

ERA over 6 and FIP close to 5 while walking over 6/9 in 30+ AA innings so far. He probably won't even be on midseason top-100 lists.
