Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I'll go with a John Lackey. But with a few more strikeouts. Always wise to bet on the 99th percentile outcome.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Always wise to bet on the 99th percentile outcome. Want me to say he's gonna be Jon Rauch?
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 Didn't someone trade a first round pick inexplicably for Jhoulys Chacin in this league like a week ago?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Want me to say he's gonna be Jon Rauch? Even that is a favourable outcome.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Didn't someone trade a first round pick inexplicably for Jhoulys Chacin in this league like a week ago? Not sure? But I bet they thought they were getting another cheap ace.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I really appreciate him carpet bombing SG's ratios in this critical matchup. 7 walks between him and Nicasio today, I'm super into it.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Solution to our svg problems, get him drunk more often.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Lol critical for you maybe, I'm laughin in the MC. In-season H2H record is the tiebreaker for playoff matchups. You never know!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I've never not won my division, so I'm not too worried at this juncture.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I've never not won my division, so I'm not too worried at this juncture. Speedy, please
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Speedy, please There's very few teams I root against. Los Osos Blancos is one of those teams.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 There's very few teams I root against. Los Osos Blancos is one of those teams. What did I ever do to you?! Besides repeatedly point out how you've never made the playoffs.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 What did I ever do to you?! Besides repeatedly point out how you've never made the playoffs. No reason. Just because. Would compare you to the Yankees, but unlike them you've never won a championship.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Jose Fernandez' walk rate this year is very disturbing. Maybe he's not as acey as I thought.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Hm, I definitely thought Chapman was owned, he was on my shortlist last draft. Could be a pretty shrewd NA stash, Speedy. Played one game in AA in 2014! Technicality ftw
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Played one game in AA in 2014! Technicality ftw Love the hustle.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Does Chapman make it up for more than a handful of Sep games though?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Where was North on Willson Contreras, Francis Martes, and now Chapman? This absenteeism is disgrace to his franchise.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Does Chapman make it up for more than a handful of Sep games though? Better to stash and observe, you can always cut him later. If he flies up the prospect lists he'll be worth a 20 man spot either way.

It's bizarre seeing how the Pharm Team is run nowadays. In our matchup last week they inexplicably started Matt Shoemaker, who obviously got bombed and cost them one cat, and very nearly a second. North never made mistakes like that.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Also, Willson Contreras had a rare 0 for 0 in yesterday's game, with 4 BBs. His OBP now up to .448. This kid is going to be a special hitter.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 more like special walker Walking is a part of hitting, although he's hit like .335 going back to the start of last season and also won his league's batting title. He's gonna be like a .280/.370 guy, though the in-game power probably tops out at like 30 doubles/15 HR.

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Dinger has the full court press going. Contreras being heavily shopped.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 he's a catching prospect so he'll probably suck for several years and get hurt a lot I plan on trading him to you before he gets moved off the position anyway.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Dinger has the full court press going. Contreras being heavily shopped. He was already a Top 50 prospect (on average) for the major sites. I'm just a happy owner. I would like to get incrementally younger and I don't expect him to fetch a major piece, so I'll probably keep him indefinitely. I think he'll basically be what Cervelli is for me now, just with a bit more power and a much more appealing age.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Man can the Rays please f***ing trade poor Andriese? He's no Jaime Garcia.
