z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Trout has now caught up and passed Harper in WAR for the year... is it time for Boxy to panic?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Trout has now caught up and passed Harper in WAR for the year... is it time for Boxy to panic? That's super irrelevant for fantasy purposes. Since the start of 2015: Harper: .322/.451/.653, 51 HR, 134 R, 123 RBI, 11 SB, .457 wOBA Trout: .297/.398/.580, 46 HR, 117 R, 105 RBI, 12 SB, .410 wOBA Trout doesn't even run anymore!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 If Jose Altuve could go back to being Dee Gordon for a week that would be swell.

And Harper does.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Trout has now caught up and passed Harper in WAR for the year... is it time for Boxy to panic? Idk if you know this, but Mike Trout plays a premium defensive position, and is a better defender in general.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 And Harper does. Yeah Harp might be able to sneak in close to 20 SB this year, not that it really matters because he is just a hands-down better power hitter, and still about 4 years away from his power peak.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 That's a f***ing scary thought. Harper could fly past 50 HR in his age 23 season.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Didn't Connor trade Harper for like Braun and Bumgarner in BBDL (and then win the league anyway)?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 J.P. Crawford is walking at 19.4% as a 21 year old in AA. Not showing much power, but still, that's pretty f***ed up.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I'm letting Fat Abbot do the trash talking for me this week (nsfw.) Just cause we're buddies, I wanted to let you know that today is the day that Sano earns his 2016 3B eligibility. And they said the party was over!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 So pumped, I'd already made peace with him losing it. Yeah, here I was thinking I'd have to use garbageman Brett Lawrie and his .380 wOBA (say whaaaat) at 3B in BORED next season.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 All I have to say is F our #LOD position requirements!!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 All I have to say is F our #LOD position requirements!! I like the Yahoo 5/10 rule. If a player can start at least 5 games at a position IRL in a given season, I see no reason you shouldn't be able to use them there in fantasy.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 still a long way to go to 10 starts... and a LOOOOOOOOONG way to go to 20 starts for the next year
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Didn't Connor trade Harper for like Braun and Bumgarner in BBDL (and then win the league anyway)? Verlander I believe
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 http://i.imgur.com/2MoEnIM.png feedback on the index system pls I'm below .500 still, how am I considered elite?

Way too many players earn eligibility at positions that they have essentially no business manning IRL.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I'm below .500 still, how am I considered elite? The tiering is probably bad but the xW% is right, you've apparently been quite unlucky. I'll be doing the luck thing once we get further into the year
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Disagree. Way too many players earn eligibility at positions that they have essentially no business manning IRL. I have been enjoying the tough requirements in LOD. It forces people to plan ahead, make more trades and just generally work a little harder to put together a functional roster. It gives an approximation of dealing with the real life defensive limitations of players. That's LOD generally though, really challenging and closer to real life.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Mesoraco has ANOTHER torn labrum, except this time in his shoulder!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I benched Dickey tonight so he's going to twirl a gem, right?
spittin Verified Member Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Mesoraco has ANOTHER torn labrum, except this time in his shoulder! Lol awful for his owners, pretty much dead asset at this point.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Cheesesteaks proving to be the most (front loaded -- thanks Boxy) dominant divison as per usual.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Cheesesteaks proving to be the most (front loaded -- thanks Boxy) dominant divison as per usual. Reuben actually has a better top 3 record...
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2016 Author Posted May 3, 2016 Mesoraco has ANOTHER torn labrum, except this time in his shoulder! I made sooooo many offers for him over the last like 18 months
TRM Verified Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Reuben actually has a better top 3 record... Cheesesteaks has been the best division for three consecutive years, and this year will be no different.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Cheesesteaks has been the best division for three consecutive years, and this year will be no different. 3/6 finalists, 6/12 Wildcards, 1 Prime Minister and 1 Champ. 2 Town Bikes to our name also.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Mesoraco has ANOTHER torn labrum, except this time in his shoulder! I had Wellie in place, all I had to do is trade Meso to NJH. Another Seniors moment for me.
