That Archer trade hurts, but post-2013 Archer was on par with what, like current Jake Odorizzi? Big props to Dinger for seeing the impending breakout, but I don't beat myself up for missing it.

That Walker trade was straight garbage though.

I squandered Archer anyway, ended up trading him to upgrade Choo to Bautista. At least he went to a decent guy like Spanky who won't rub it in my face.

Everytime we rehash the Pollock for Appel debacle I end up with the biggest s*** eating grin on my face. My work colleagues always ask me what's up.

Can we rehash Holliday and Kuroda for Correa and a second rounder? plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Maybe even Top 5, actually. The only guys I'd definitely pop before him if we drafted today are Trout and Harper. There's a very reasonable dynasty argument to take him ahead of Stanton, Goldy, Rizzo, Cutch, and Kershaw.

Let's, I'm glad the trade worked out for both of us. Kuroda was a horse for me for that season, and Holliday helped my bats be the best in the league. I nearly won a title with that trade, it was good process. Not really much I can complain about.

How about trading away a generational talent and then not winning the league? That seems complainable.

zero percent chance I take Correa over Stanton.

I'm not saying I would either, but there's an argument. Having a potential .400 wOBA SS for the best decade of his career is extremely appealing in a dynasty format. The difference between him and the average shortstop is probably going to be a lot bigger than the difference between Stanton and the average OF.

Boxy, perhaps you have some ownership fatigue. Please do not trade Correa under any circumstances.

You don't tell me what to do!

LOL some of those are truly dreadful

BTS is pretty weak in the trade department. He publicly shops players forever, or shops for specific kinds of held for extended periods of time, before finally begrudgingly accepting a trade. He needs to be decisive and quiet, like me. I don't think I've lost a trade in this league!

FWIW (not much) I like the Stanton end. He's only 25 and I'm not buying Correa as a 130+ wRC+ guy yet.

You lost the Cano trade and continue to do so.

I'm just farting around, really, obviously we all love Stanton. For Boxy's roster, that trade makes absolutely no sense, however.

You've just cut right to my core. This is very accurate.

lol, good one.

I'm not joking in the slightest. Since that trade:

Cano: .294/.353/.437, .341 wOBA

Davis: .218/.312/.452, .330 wOBA

Plus, crucially, Cano is a 2B. You can have your moment-in-time fapfest for Davis' hot month, but the truth is Cano has hit very well lately also, and gave me a .361 wOBA last year.

Obviously in 2014 you won, but future outlook isn't very close.

I do have super stud Brandon Crawford entrenched at SS whom no one is interested in trading for. Makes sense.

The trade has no winner yet. Either guy could fall off a cliff next year and it wouldn't be surprising at all.

It's not just a slow start. Through 440 PA this year his PD stats are much worse than his career. He's played league a league average 2B through a pretty large sample size.
