P2F Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 That goal by Hudon was quite something
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 That goal by Hudon was quite something Yeah, made Borgman look bad. Did I hear the announcer right, that Sparks has to go through waivers?
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Yeah, made Borgman look bad. Did I hear the announcer right, that Sparks has to go through waivers? I wasn't listening but looks like that is correct. Probably waive McElhinney instead and keep the kid up.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I wasn't listening but looks like that is correct. Probably waive McElhinney instead and keep the kid up. Does Pickard have to pass through waivers also? Holy s***, this worries me.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Yeah, made Borgman look bad. Did I hear the announcer right, that Sparks has to go through waivers? Sparks, Pickard, and McElhinney all need to clear waivers
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Sparks, Pickard, and McElhinney all need to clear waivers Yep so you have to decide now who's the best asset and keep him as your back up. The other two aren't likely to be claimed unless someone has an injury though, every team will likely be happy with it's two guys and have a lot of their 3/4s on waivers all around the same time.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Sparks, Pickard, and McElhinney all need to clear waivers Damn, they should trade Mac for a late pick or something, I doubt either of Sparks or Pickard makes it through. They also signed that Finnish kid, I guess for protection of this very scenario, thanks.

Good point, but I still think someone would claim one of the younger guys, I guess we'll see.
JG34 Verified Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Sparks would be claimed for sure. Look at the season he just had in the AHL.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Sparks would be claimed for sure. Look at the season he just had in the AHL. Right, same goes for Pickard, imo?
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Good point, but I still think someone would claim one of the younger guys, I guess we'll see. Sparks maybe, that's why you don't risk it with him. Pickard has had some looks in the NHL, teams weren't tripping over themselves to get him when available last year and I don't think much has changed. He's someone you maybe claim if you have an injury but I don't think anyone is turfing their backup to get him at this point.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Is the NHL trying to be a laughingstock?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 It looks like if you crossed cookie monster with animal and then gave it down syndrome

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 [quote= Sensing the Avalanche were headed for another rebuild last season, Duchene requested a trade from Sakic, someone he had idolized from the time he was a child. It was the hardest thing he had to do, but felt it was necessary. "I wanted to play playoff hockey," Duchene said. "I've got eight playoff games to my name right now and for me that's not where I want to be at this point of my career. I only get one shot at this; I only get to play this game for however long my body lets me play." After months of waiting, Matt Duchene feels he is finally closer to "playoff hockey." Welcome to the Ottawa Senators, Duchene.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Welcome to the Ottawa Senators, Duchene. He's gone after this year, friendo. Or the deadline. Sens blew that one too, lol.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 lol... Zach Smith put on waivers by the Sens.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I put 75 dollars on Ottawa to win over 71.5 games at 2.05 odds to give me even more of a reason to follow this beautiful franchise. LETS GO SENS!
