    Your Riley Greene and Javier Baez for Bo proposal was way off too. Tigers would have to add more on Greene to get Bo, not the other way around (Baez is an extreme negative value player).

    Definitely isn't gospel you're right, however in terms of predicting Jays trade returns, I've been very surprised at how Atkins seems to gain between 5-10 surplus value on almost every trade he makes (at the time they are made).

    Gorman being part of a Manoah for Carlson swap would probably require the Jays to add Orelvis+Barriera/Babe Schneider. Carlson+Gorman (43.8 total surplus value) for Manoah+Orelvis+Barriera/Babe (36.2-36.6 total surplus value) would be in the realistic range as the Jays would gain between 7.2-7.6 surplus value.

    Carlson+Robberse (9 total BTV surplus value) and Carlson+Hjerpe (11.5 total) are not realistic because Atkins gains at least 5-10 surplus value on almost every trade he makes (at the time they are made). He doesn't accept/offer trades which lose surplus value for the Jays. Carlson+Liberatore (21.8 total) is definitely within the realistic range, as the Jays would gain 7.4 surplus value. Not enough for Atkins to pull the trigger, Carlson+O'Neill (11.3 total) would be a loss of surplus value.

    Manoah (14.4 surplus value on BTV) for Carlson+Edman (19.2 combined) would probably work as a straight up deal. Atkins almost always gains between 5-10 BTV surplus value on the trades he makes (at the time they are made). Manoah for Carlson+Donovan (32.7 combined) would probably require the Jays to add one of Nimmala/Barger/Leo Jimenez (all valued at 8.9 surplus each) to make it more realistic.

    Get it done Atkins, Espinal (2.7 surplus value) for Eugenio (8.2) straight up. This may seem like too big of a value disparity in the Jays' favour, but the Teo trade last year was also a big BTV win for the Jays. The only people who hated on the Teo trade were casuals who didn't know who Erik Swanson was.

    I agree with pretty much everything in this post except the bolded. All 3 of those players for Soto would be a massive overpay, considering Tiedemann alone has more median value on BTV than Soto. Not sure what a 450/13 salary commitment would do to his median value though (increase or decrease). Something closer to fair would be those same players to the Padres for Soto, Kim and Grisham. 51.9 median value out, 59.6 in, still meets the criteria of Atkins usually gaining between 5-10 median value on each trade he makes (at the time these trades were made).
