    Seems like Atkins is done, just a matter of when not if. This guy is legit and has wide ranging sources, he's just more well known in the hockey scene than baseball scene. Shapiro is likely safe because of the dome upgrades like many anticipated, nothing on JS yet.

    The story of this core's failure to capitalize on their window will be the 3 Pillsbury doughbois all turning into (fatass) pumpkins and their struggles with addiction. Vlad's addiction to his grandma's cooking and uncrustables. Manoah's addiction to Mary Brown's chicken and family size bags of Doritos (to himself) combined with a sense of entitlement to major league pay even though he's a minor league bum. And Kirk is literally on record as being a guy who loves his cheat days and very much looks forward to them. My guess is, this tubby piece of garbage has 6-7 cheat days a week. These guys all have crippling addictions which are preventing them from shedding their obesity. Maybe a stretch to say Kirk is addicted to cheat days but he does love and look forward to them that's for sure.

    As an anti-3 fatties guy, I always wanted Kirk to be the catcher moved last offseason. I remember looking at that embarrassing poll this board had up seeing ******** arguments saying Jansen or Moreno should be gone. They always should have sold high on the fatty. I'm still a pro-Varsho guy and like that we have him, but I never wanted to lose Moreno. I would have preferred getting the best OF available for Kirk as opposed to losing Moreno to get Varsho. Anyone who tries to argue that Kirk would have returned more than Varsho, stop right there. The BTV value rankings at the time of the trade are seared into my memory. It was 1) Moreno, 2) Kirk, with a huge gap between Kirk and 3) Jansen. If we were trading Kirk to the DBacks it would have been for one of their lesser OFs like Alek Thomas or Jake McCarthy and probably another asset from their end instead of just Varsho.

    This might be a bad time for me to say this, but I still disagree. I actually think Montoyo was that bad. Not only would he have removed Berrios early still, he would have done something even worse like put Yimi Garcia or Trevor Richards in there.

    Are we sure the Jays aren't just stealth tanking for the 6 seed? I seriously doubt 1 series win at the Trop changes the organization's entire outlook on how cursed that stadium is for them. I am like 95-99% sure that the Jays still prefer the Twins over a series at the f***in Trop.
