  1. I feel like we’d need to trade for him. The orioles or some other smart bad teams will be all over that.
  2. Is groshans credible at SS? I don’t see why he can’t be a bench piece in the biggio/tapia mode next year or later this year. If he can play SS especially. I think I’d rather keep him and see if he grows into power.
  3. I think with Zimmer and tapia there is a process I like as well. Zimmer fits a very specific needed role and if he even hits his career numbers, heÂ’s qualified for that role. Tapia is a guy with underlying stats that indicate he could be more than he is. ItÂ’s always good to have one of those guys on a roster.
  4. I strongly agree with this. I’m getting to rays level with this front office, where if they make a move I trust them.
  5. I think that timeline makes a ton of sense. A solid month for guys in the FCL to show enough to get promoted.
  6. Palmegianni and Nunez at single A are both kind of killing it. I wonder if one or both get the bump soonish. Maybe after guys from the FCL get promoted.
  7. I think probably they think there’s a number of at bats they need to see before they decide it’s real or not. They might also just think we are winning so we have rope. It’s an interesting question. I’ve heard that the giants will give a guy a decent amount of at bats over a short period of time and then cut or not. They make very quick decisions and go through a ton of players.
  8. I trust Bo way more to have a good at bat than vlad right now which is … not expected.
  9. I know we’ve got lucky with the pitching holding up early but I really can’t remember much luck this year in tight games. Just line out after line out when we need a hit.
  10. God damn Bo that was unlucky. Hit hard right at him.
  11. This is baseball, we could lose tomorrow and sweep the Yankees.
  12. Anyone who is explaining away the Yankees start as just SOS is nuts. It’s hard to consistently beat anyone in baseball. All we got to do is get to the playoffs and out luck the yanks.
  13. Man, nothing is falling today. One of those games.
  14. How should they approach vlad? For someone with such a great eye (does he? ) it should be an easy fix to not swing at borderline before 2 strikes or at least one. He does it all the time.
  15. This is just one of those games. Small things go differently and we have like 4/5 runs.
  16. The worse thing to is it’s almost worse to be a really good hitter with such a bad approach. Instead of swinging at pitches he shouldn’t swing at and fouling them off to live for another day, he can hit well enough to make them into outs.
  17. It’s a 2 run game and you get out at third. Unbelievable.
  18. The front office sees something in tapia and Zimmer (to a lesser extent) and well run orgs these days don’t hire managers who would even think about not playing guys the front office want to see. I can kind of see it with tapia but to my eye he has too much to work on. Zimmer i guess is just so good defensively that if he progresses AT ALL as a hitter he’s a good 4th outfielder. I think Zimmer gets more rope because he’s ‘their guy’ right? I’m assuming he came to Cleveland when they were there.
  19. I don’t know about Valera except that managers way over do putting in bad lefties for good righties. However, the first question I think is a yes. That’s just the way they do it. If you are on the roster and expected to be so for a while, he’ll rotate.
  20. They might have looked at the royals series and thought it was a mistake to rest guys behind the worst pitcher. I predict that tomorrow, Teo DHs and Kirk, Chapman and springer are back in the field.
  21. That sounds like a massive price. It sounds like a pretty big price just for bednar.
  22. They don’t need a catcher with 2 years of control. They won’t be good by then.
  23. Casey Lawrence with another good outing in triple a. 7IP, 5H, 0ER, 1BB, 7K.
