  1. I don't know what this means. Yeah I was higher on Martin than most. So what?
  2. And kept the farm mostly intact. Even with the loss of Martin and SWR, the farm is still deep, and can be replenished next year. It was a good balanced approach, keeping mind on continuing to build on this year and next, while making sure the prospect pipeline remained healthy.
  3. And the offseason with a crazy FA class should be lots of fun as well.
  4. It just gets crazier. Wow. What a deadline.
  5. I'm a big Martin fan and have even gone on record as stating he was still no. 1 Jays prospect for me. I don't like that the trade cost him, but it is what is, and Berrios is now a Jays and should fit in well with this team. He's an excellent starter in his prime, and I will be rooting for him to help lift the team to contention rest of the way.
  6. There definitely seems to be a reverse in philosophy. I wonder if this is a new trend or one time off? Will see next year.
  7. Yeah it's pretty much consensus on here this was an overpay. No one is happy with the cost. It's the people saying Jays got raped, and calling for firings that are the ones being irrational, IMO.
  8. I was going to say, where is this reported? Not seeing anything?
  9. This is how I'm going to approach it. Deed is done. No point continuing to rage and rant. Just have to look forward and hope Berrios helps the team get to the next level.
  10. I really hope this works out. Ray, Ryu, and Berrios can help team go on a run and make push for playoffs. Still only 4.5 back of 2nd WC. No one knows what Martin and SWR will eventually turn into, but right now, the loss of Martin hurts.
  11. I've gone from excited, to sad, to pissed. f*** me.
  12. SWR better better the only top 10 going back.
  13. Oh sh*t. Needs it's own thread once confirmed.
  14. I don't know who we'll end up with, if any. Or if the cost will be palatable, but today is exciting nonetheless. Team back in TO, and a crazy trade deadline. I'm barely getting any work done. :-)
  15. They do. And they built up their talent capital to get to the point where they are now, and to be able to do the things they currently are doing. Prior to 2020, they had a near decade long losing record of being under .500. I think our FO is following similar model, and in a year or two, I see us in same position (hopefully), as the Padres.
  16. f***ing awesome write up. Sign Bo to life contract! I'm not in TO, but I hope fans display lots of energy and noise to welcome back the team!
  17. Holy crap. That'd be one of the biggest trades in awhile? Now I want to see it happen.
  18. I fear it would. Likely Groshans at least. Not sure it's a price I want to pay. But either way, I think whatever the cost, it will hurt.
  19. Sem Robberse also pitching well in that game. Looks like he really limits HRs, and overall numbers look promising. Plus he's young. How good a prospect is he?
  20. I like the new top 5 order. I hope it stays for a while.
  21. Might go off like Willy Adames after a change in scenery. Kelenic I see is still struggling hard to adjust to the majors, in his second stint. No knock on him. The majors is frigging hard. It just makes what phenoms like Soto, Acuna, and Tatis did so special. Even Vlad took a couple of tries.
  22. Oh no doubt. I thought for sure I was witnessing the start of a legendary hall of fame career.
  23. I remember how hyped he was going into the draft. Best pitching prospect in decades. Washington hit the lotto getting 2 generational talent in back to back years.
