  1. Hmm, a solid starter, a couple high leverage BP arms and a left handed OF bat.... lol, looks the Yankees just completed the Jays shopping list
  2. 1.2 fWAR reliever with a 2.19 FIP, 10.23 K-rate and isn't even arb eligible until 2025 of course the yankees strengthened their already stronger bullpen with this guy What would have been a comparable return from the Jays? Max Castillo?
  3. f*** you yankees
  4. Just glad we have both, but at this point Tiedemann has proven more.
  5. Still hoping for a move like Pearson for Bednar. Jays basically it the fast forward button on Pearson and get a late inning high leverage guy that can help now and for a few years yet. Pirates gamble that Pearson can finally shed the injury bug and become a top of the rotation starter or at worse be a replacement for Bednar when they might actually be good. Maybe the Jays add another prospect lottery ticket to make it work. I'd also love to see them snag and Iglesias and Syndergaard from the Angels. Really bolster the pen and starting pitching depth with those moves and you're not really going to burn much prospect capital either I wouldn't think, especially if the Jays are willing to eat all of Iglesias' contract.
  6. f***en Adrian Hernandez still hasn't pitched since June 19th. Diagnosed with shoulder soreness. Jesus christ why can't we have anything nice? Guy was on the cusp of bringing his swing and miss to MLB
  7. Ugh not Fulmer lol Low K rate, high walk rate, high xFIP He'll fit right in haha
  8. Ugh 4 f***ing hits Pitch 'em down & away You'll own 'em all day Would be nice if these guys would quit f***ing around and get 20 games above .500 so they don't have to light the world on fire down the stretch
  9. I hope they offer Pearson for Bednar, see if Pitts wants to gamble on Pearson shaking his injury woes. Then I'd like them to see how cheaply they can get Iglesias by agreeing to take on most or all of his contract they just signed. Stack the pen up. Romano Iglesias Bednar Mayza Garcia Decent group for high leverage.
  10. Kikuchi pitched like an ace pretty much all of May then went to complete s***, so hopefully he's fixed but jury definitely isn't out yet.
  11. Jeunger made his AAA debut tonight at 21 years of age. Pitched two innings of hitless ball, walked one and struck out two.
  12. If we're talking about the last decade, can't forget 100 miles Giles
  13. f*** the Yankees Hopefully they give up a massive chunk of their farm for rentals and then get swept out of the playoffs
  14. Would anybody here trade Pearson straight up for Bednar if it was offered, or is that just a stupid idea? Bednar only two years older than Pearson and is already established as a quality high leverage closer. Pearson still has the way higher ceiling but can never stay healthy.
  15. I'd love to see the Jays FO finally switch gears and quit tinkering around with the bullpen. Bring in a couple big arms if they're available and start to build a lock it down pen like the big boys. Iglesias and Bednar would be two high leverage, closer types from garbage non playoff teams that might be available.
  16. Could totally get on board with something like that.
  17. Yes, I was hoping they would have signed Iglesias when he was free agent. Who knows, maybe they tried and he didn't want to come to TO, or can't....
  18. Bo is having a s***** year at the plate, but he's still on pace for like what...3 fWAR? If that's the Jays biggest position player weakness/disappointment then we are f***ing laughing.
  19. What do we want Laureano for? Right handed hitting OF who has less fWAR and a lower wRC+ than Springer, Gurriel and Hernandez.
  20. f***ing stupid Angels. Jays need Ohtani man. Of course, if they made him available he probably ends up a Dodger. Or worse, a Yankee
  21. Interesting. His numbers at AA don't jump off the page but they are still being as aggressive promoting him as people thought they would be. Anyone have any updates on his stuff? I know he was mid 90s fastball that touches 98mph with a pretty good slider. Starting to pile up the homegrown arms in the AAA bullpen now. Spraker, Eisert, Ellenbest, Hernandez and now Jeunger. Hernandez been out over a month now though, which sucks ass. I'm also still wondering how long the 6'9 guy that can throw 100mph is going to be out for. Fitz Stadler.
