  1. Oh please sweet baby jesus let the Jays land Ohtani and Yamamoto.
  2. Signing Yamamoto would make trading Tiedemann in a package for a bat much more palatable. For Soto perhaps? Might make signing in TO more of a realistic option for Ohtani too maybe? Corner the market on Japanese stars...
  3. Manoah for Nootbar? That seems like some wishful thinking by some Jays fans.
  4. Hayden Juenger, Hagen Danner, Connor Cooke and Josver Zulueta will probably all get some MLB innings this year, if healthy.
  5. Tiedemann might be the #5 starter for all we know.
  6. Makes sense. Pretty stacked bullpen and they have much cheaper homegrown options available for depth.
  7. Man it'd be nice to get a win like Ohtani for once. I still think he goes to the Dodgers.
  8. Is that good?? lol I'm assuming it is
  9. f*** it'd sure be nice if the Jays could land some "free money" like Yamamoto for once.
  10. Talkin about the Cards, I wonder if they'd trade Arenado?
  11. He's also not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
  12. Imagine the rotation in 2025 if they signed Yamamoto and Ohtani this off season. Ohtani Gausman Yamamoto Berrios Bassitt / Tiedemann
  13. Gimme Ohtani on a mega deal and Yamamoto I don't ask for much.
  14. They absolutely need some more depth, but the top 4 are notoriously durable so it's not crazy to think they'll all be healthy again. Plus Manoah is also a workhorse, if he isn't ass again he can eat a lot of innings.
  15. Two years for Green, perfect. Pitching staff is really good on paper already, just need to plug those holes on offense and defense. 1. Gausman 2. Berrios 3. Bassit 4. Kikuchi 5. Manoah (a bounce back would sure be nice) 6. Tiedemann 1. Romano 2. Swanson 3. Green 4, Mayza 5. Garcia 6. Richards 7. Cabrera 8. Cimber 9. Francis 10. Pearson 11. Pop 12. Danner 13. Cooke 14. Juenger 15. Zulueta
  16. The pessimist in me says that only two scenarios will play out with Vlad: #1 - He remains a Jay and continues his replacement level play becoming quite the disappointment #2 - He is traded at some point and it jolts him to make some changes and he turns back into a 5+ fWAR star
  17. Atkins put together one of the best and most durable starting rotations in baseball, and also a very good and deep bullpen. Everyone but Hicks is under control for at least another year too. The team also still miraculously pulled off 89 wins despite three core players (Manoah, Vlad, Kirk) going from a combined 10.8 fWAR in 2022 to a combined 2.2 fWAR in 2023. No, I wouldn't fire Atkins.
  18. Sure hope he doesn't turn into a left handed Pearson because of control issues.
  19. Man, I wonder WTF happened to spanky? Hasn't posted in like 4 days.
  20. Haha, with the way this season has gone these two losses were totally predictable. No way would they continue to rattle off victories and clinch this early. Still in good shape though, especially if they can salvage this last game vs the Yankees. Texas vs Mariners for 4 games now....go Rangers. Magic number is 3 now, correct?
  21. Things were going too good lately. They will make us sweat now.
  22. It's more his stuff that is enticing rather than his numbers, although his ability to generate whiffs is also intriguing. I'm over it though, as the Jays have clearly built up a strong stable of swing and miss relievers in the upper minors to work with and already have a strong MLB pitching staff.
  23. It's not just that they got swept by Texas in 4 games, they got the s*** kicked out of them. Have gone 7-2 since lol What a team
  24. Can't believe the Astros got swept by the Royals with everything on the line this late in the season. Unreal
  25. The bullpen depth for the Jays blows me away. Assuming Hicks walks and they snag an option on Green, and Garcia takes his option... Romano Green Mayza Swanson Garcia Richards Cabrera Francis Pearson Pop Cimber Danner Cooke Juenger White Zulueta Lots of live arms and swing and miss for days.
