  1. Can anyone ever remember a team taking their best and/or hottest hitter out of their line up so frequently?
  2. Yep, I'd rather see any of Spraker, Eisert or Hernandez but the Jays front office doesn't seem to be in a rush to bring these guys up I guess. Handling them with kid gloves for some reason.
  3. How nice would it be if Maximo Castillo is actually good? I mean, is that a crazy thought? He's never been an eye popper, but he's got a 6 year track record and been steady eddy at every single level on the way up. And the dude just turned 23 a month ago.
  4. Yeah lots of lefty relievers with high K rates in the Jays system. Hopefully 1 or 2 of them hold up as they climb the ladder.
  5. One guy who's been a disappointment this season is Graham Spraker. We all thought he was gonzo in the rule 5 draft because he had such a strong season last year and then topped it off with a strong showing in Arizona fall league, but then the rule 5 got canceled and we got to keep him. His numbers all look decent except for the spike in BB/9 he's had this season, up over 7 for f*** sakes. Good news is he's starting to look like he's turning it around. Hasn't walked a guy or given up a run in his last 4 appearances (4 2/3 innings) but is still striking guys out with 7 K's in that span.
  6. Both Frasso and Zulu have had TJS already IIRC, and they are 23/24 already. I could easily see them transitioned to the pen due to innings limits and end up in the Jays pen late in the season if they continue to steam roll their way up the ladder. But then again the Jays are taking their sweet time with Hernandez and Eisert in AAA despite the pen injuries piling up, so who knows.
  7. Does anybody know what kind of stuff guys like Conor Larkin, Jimmy Burnette, Brandon Eisert, Connor Cooke, Trenton Wallace, Alejandro Melean, Braden Scott, etc have...or where I can go searching to find out? Just curious if any of them have electric type secondaries and/or bring the velocity to the table as well. All of them are 21-24 years old and scattered all through out the Jays minors system and are putting up awesome K rates and xFIP's.
  8. Hate being optimistic about pitchers but it sure feels like the Jays have several bullets in that chamber that are very close to working their way into MLB/40 man consideration. And by close I mean some starting later this season and the rest next season. If it was just 2 or 3 guys I wouldn't even give it a second thought, but it's more like 10-12 guys so you'd think at least a few of them will stay healthy and not wash out.
  9. Just noticed Dasan Brown has a 132 wRC+ in A ball. Not bad.
  10. lol Anybody else starting to s*** their pants now? Top of the order lurking
  11. It's just sad that the Jays have to sign a washed up s*** bag like this just to fill innings. You'd think after 7 years there would be more in the tank when a few pitchers go down to injury.
  12. Surprised they would do this instead of just bringing up Eisert or Hernandez, or even Spraker has looked better lately. I guess they want a veteran guy, and maybe they don't want to throw any of the rookies straight into the fire vs the AL east teams...
  13. Didn't Liam Hendricks take a tour of the Jays Dunedin facility back when he was a free agent? I think the Jays tried pretty hard to sign him, and I bet there were others as well. I want to criticize the Jays FO as much as anyone for the s***** bullpen, but it's hard to justify that when you don't know the whole story of which guys they tried to bring in, how much term/money was offered and the player just wasn't willing to come to TO. I mean, does anybody here really believe the Jays didn't try to sign a guy like Collin McHugh this past off season? If you add Hendricks and McHugh to the Jays bullpen right now, it instantaneously gets bumped up several notches.
  14. The Angels still suck ass and only have 1.5 more years of control over Ohtani. There is an ace AND a power left handed bat
  15. lol Berrios can go f*** off already. Useless f*** What is wrong with these dipshit starting pitchers? How in the actual f*** is Stripling our 2nd best starter in June?
  16. Package him with Groshans, he is blocked everywhere anyways.
  17. Lol it might have something to do with Biggio and his .430ish OBP since returning from AAA. Might want to keep that in the line up somewhere.
  18. Kikuchi is frustrating. I remember reading that his profile read very much like pre CY Robbie Ray and thought man if they can get him fixed how awesome would that be. Then he started slow in April, but appeared to turn the corner in May with an ERA and xFIP in the low 2's. That was exciting thinking our 4th or 5th best starter was capable of pitching like a top of the rotation guy. Then he just f***ing falls apart. Dude needs a psychologist or a sports therapist or something. His problem is the 6 inches between his ears I'm thinking.
  19. Feels like there are plenty of holes in the roster Also feels like they are capable of so much more and could go on a crazy solid run in the second half Weird season so far
  20. This is good to see. His last couple outings were not great, nice that he came back strong this time.
  21. Fair enough. He's 19 yeah, but he's extremely advanced. 30 IP at A 28 IP at A+ Both dominant. I guess we'll see how long it takes for them to bump him up.
  22. What ain't happening with Tiedemann? A promotion to AA? Why not? He roasting A+ right now
