  1. Seriously, its been 100 f***ing games now, kid has does nothing that would tell you he deserves to bat infront of Teo, Gurriel or even Chapman at this point.
  2. He was down in Dunedin for a couple weeks on the "Development List".
  3. Moreno is worth alot more than that. IDK Skubal is pretty decent, but feels like Moreno should only be on the table for Soto/Ohtani level of talents.
  4. Just get Rodon/Cobb and call it a deadline. If teams like the Tigers are gonna want too much for 1 inning guys then they can f*** off. More than happy to rely on the core 5 we got and hope a couple of Zulu/Juenger/Pearson/Merrywether can make a impact in September.
  5. Addison Barger batting .462!!!!!! in AA now. Kid is on a absolute heater. 24 for 52 with 4 doubles and 4 homers. Gonna shoot up prospect lists.
  6. It means 2.75 xERA vs 4.whatever actual ERA.
  7. Cobb would be amazing if we could get him. Dude has been pitching lights out but getting unlucky. Would probably cost as much as Rodon or more based on his contract.
  8. Rays would want more. Would be an insta yes if the Rays offered straight up.
  9. Legendary stuff from JP. Also remember him calling out Adam Dunn as not even liking baseball when Toronto media kept saying to trade for him.
  10. If you wanna say he has no power over a small sample like that then can we talk about his power numbers in AA last year before he broke his thumb where he had 18 XBH in 126 ABs? He just needs to get that stroke back. Theres plenty of power here.
  11. You need someone exactly like that in the playoffs. Do you really want Gurriel or Teo out there in a one run save situation in game 5 of the DS? Or what if Kirk singles to leadoff the ninth in a tied game? Do you still not want someone fast to come into to run for him?
  12. As the 5th OF he gets maybe 2 at bats a week. Is it really worth it to spend resources on replacing him when there will be basically not even a marginal difference? And hes probably one of those guys whos just happy to collect a big league paycheck and not cause any problems in the clubhouse. He knows his role and does it well IMO.
  13. I would be shocked if we acquire a position player tbh. With Tapia stepping up and Teo/Gurriel raking and Zimmer being perfectly fine as the 5th OF there just isn't a spot for another bat unless you are subtracting from the current position player group. I would bet we go all in for a significant rotation upgrade like Castillo/Montas and a couple good RPs. Maybe you upgrade from Collins?
  14. Perez: 1.45 ERA, 4.5 xERA Bautista: 1.6 ERA, 3.3 xERA Lopez: 1.6 ERA, 3.1 xERA Baltimore bullpen is solid but not this good. Regression will come for them eventually.
  15. Tapia pre May 26: avg EV of 85.5 mph, launch angle of 6 degrees, 35% hard hit rate, .244 xBA Tapia post May 26: avg EV of 89.9 mph, launch angle of 1 degree!!, 48% hard hit rate, .293 xBA So clearly has been hitting the ball much harder consistently. More surprisingly avg LA has gone down significantly so meaning more ground balls which has somehow turned into better results. Whatever Crabman is doing he needs to keep doing it tbh.
  16. Zulu throws a 4 seamer vs a sinker from Frasso. Velo is similar, 96-100 for both of them. Zulu has the 4th pitch to Frassos 3. Zulu has the better breaking ball. Frasso has the better change up. Zulu has more history as a prospect. Thats about it tbh. They both have nasty stuff and miss bats with their fastballs and secondary's. I guess Zulu has more helium since he was on the radar going into last year before he blew his knee out.
  17. What I really like is that his ISO nearly tripled from last year. .065 to .150 this year.
  18. Honestly id be totally ok with moving Vlad for Soto plus like mid level prospect like Groshans or something.
  19. We all know hes going to the Dodgers anyway
  20. Hard to consider him a rental when its for 2.5 years.
  21. So uhh.....Teoscar+Tiedemann+Moreno+Zulueta+1st rd pick from this year???
  22. Yea for sure, I mean a team like the Yankees/Rays/Dodgers probably squeezes out like 4 WAR from him over the next 3 years. Good to see us keep him even though his results have been dog s***.
  23. Happy to see Beasley back over Romo. Beasleys results have been s*** but his underlying numbers are great as is his stuff. Give him enough innings and his results should start to get (much) better.
  24. Easy way to get an idea of what you are looking for is here:https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/swing-take?year=2022&team=&group=Batter&type=All&sub_type=null&min=q Comparing Vlad from last year to this is really pathetic.
