  1. So a package for Clevinger would start with Gurriel most likely right? Then add on either SWR or Groshans and go from there? Or is that too much already?
  2. Meh, pass. Better options available.
  3. Gonna throw this out here, how about Robby Cano? Having a fantastic season. Hes expensive so if we ate some of the salary we wouldnt have to give up too much. The mets are 15-19 and not too far back but they should be motivated to move him and his contract. Cano to 2b, Biggio to 3b. or otherway around.
  4. Way to conveniently ignore all the things he did improve at
  5. Juan Rivera was pretty s***, but he only lasted a couple months iirc. Brad Wilkerson, Corey Patterson, JoJo Reyes lol a few more names off the top of my head
  6. Half a game back of the yankees after tonight boys
  7. Is drury the worst player in bluejay history who got significant playing time? Can't imagine there were many others who got a chance to accumulate as much negative war as he has. They really should have cut bait with him last year. But since he's one of shatkins "guys" he has a long leash
  8. Now hopefully the attention can shift to picking up a backup catcher who can hit at least a little and a competent platoon guy for Shaw.
  9. Jays hitting stats as a team since August 11th: BB 9.4% K 20.6% .278/.350/.522 WOBA .369 wRC+ 135 Tied for 2nd in fWar with the dodgers at 4.4. And thats without Bo for a majority of that stretch.
  10. Thing with vogelbach is its a bad look optics wise if you give him atbats over rowdy. The team has a bigger stake in rowdy developing into a bigger piece going forward. So if you platoon him at 1st/Dh ve rhp it means no teller vs rhp cause you sure as s*** aren't gonna take vlad out of the lineup right? That means rowdy gets the short end of the stick and that looks bad considering rowdy is a home grown player who is basically = to vogelbach and having a much better season to date. Tough sell.
  11. Oof, knew the bench was bad, didnt realize it was THAT bad. Vogelbach is a MAJOR upgrade over the trash we got on the bench now. Even if hes only a pinch hitter for now atleast we wont see Joe f***in Panik or Mcguire in a big spot.
  12. Is he allowed to make a joke?
  13. Wagu is solid. Better than i expected after last year when he was just meh. Gaviglio on the other hand has to go, guys throwing 88 mph poop up there with no command and s*** secondaries. Don't know how he survived in the org this long.
  14. They only hired him cause he speaks Spanish and can connect with the young Latinos. They clearly underestimated how much like I am he actually is. There was a reason he was a minor league manager for 15 f***ing years.
  15. Today might be the worst managed game I've ever seen in watching the jays for 15 years
  16. He literally did that like 4 or 5 times today
  17. Anyone know when the start time of the next game is?
  18. I get that, but even in his hot streaks in the past he would still K a lot and hardly walk. Im not even looking at his bated ball data, im looking strictly at his chase rates and whiff rates and they suggest hes made substantial improvements. Only reason Buck is talking about it cause Grichuk has a shiny .330 BA. If Grichuk was batting .250 Buck wouldnt be hyping him up.
  19. How about that Randall Grichuk guy tho? He seems to have made legitimate improvements to his game. Yea hes rocking a high BABIP right now but even when that comes down (or it might not) his improved plate discipline and whiff % should allow him to be an 120 wRC+ hitter. Dropped his chase rate from 33.3% to 25.9% and his whiff from 28.1% to 20.7%. Time to start getting excited?
  20. Dumbass did it again in the top of the 10th, perfect chance to pinch hit a righty for a dogshit lefty hitter but nope! Gotta stick with the pos Panik.
  21. And for those saying well he hasnt done anything in the majors yet. From July 19 to August 22 2019 he hit .387/.449/.689 And for a longer run of being a great hitter. From May 14 to August 22 2019 he hit .296/.367/.515. Thats a half season of being a all star calibre hitter. At age 20.
