  1. I mean its only 4 days from now sooooo and they play the s***** ass Red Sox....
  2. Oh great so they are peaking right as we are about to play them, fun.
  3. Marlins always seemed to pop up in that exact market.
  4. IDK I dont like the idea of letting guys walk for a pick in the 70 range. Doesnt seem like enough.
  5. I think we see one of them moved this offseason for pitching and resign the other. No way we let them walk for just a draft pick imo.
  6. That depends on how they choose to allocate the money. Teo is gonna get paid big money for his FA years, probably in the 20-24 aav range for 4 to 5 years. Jays might decide that money is needed to sign Vlad/Kirk//Bo/Manoah ect. Lourdes is making pennies through next year and hes gonna get a big bump, probably into the 15-18 aav range, after 2023 so you have to make some tough decisions on which players to keep. Dont have enough payroll to sign everyone. And it doesnt make sense even if you did. Cant just hold on to all your good players in to their 30s. Thats how you turn into the Phillis circa 2010 and beyond.
  7. If you are going purely by ERA yes. Jansen has been far, far better in just about every other measurable way.
  8. Got promoted yesterday or the the day before. Already got his first homer today.
  9. 4.2 IP, 4 H, 4K, 1BB, 2ER. Can we predict the line for Dylan Bundy too? We better tear him a new *******
  10. I mean he is the next Julio so obvs
  11. While people are on the topic of these imo rather fun but not that usefull charts, look up Addison Bargers chart for some fap material.
  12. I have haha Ive been part of that exact same play with a dropped 3rd strike with the catcher making a bad throw over my head while the runner comes down the line, part of it is not expecting the bad throw and another part is the lack of effort. When the ball is just slighty out of arms reach over your head you sometimes dont go all out on the jump because then you might overshoot it and have it clank off your wrist.
  13. What lolol If Vladdy had the time to react and jump there is no reason he couldnt taken the little bit of extra effort and jumped like a couple inches more to securely get his glove on it.
  14. Bad throw by Jansen but Vladdy literally had like a 4 inch vertical and Chapman made an even worse throw. Guys wilted under the pressure there no doubt
  15. These values arent everything lol MLB Pipeline has him as our No.8 already.
  16. Arte Moreno DGAF about winning. He just wants to sell tickets and make money. Any reasonable franchise that was headed by a responsible owner who wanted to balance winning with profits would have been able to at least make the playoff a few times the last decade with the best player in the sport and now having the two best players in the world.
  17. So been seeing alot of stuff on Alex De Jesus, the kid we got back in the Mitch White deal. Seems like he a pretty decent prospect in his own right. Has definitely softened the blow from losing Frasso.
  18. With the Yankees pitching going down the shitter recently there is a small chance. We were 16.5 GB of them on July 10 and after last nights its 10.5 so its possible.
  19. Im not talking about inning workloads or anything like that. Im saying you shouldnt hold a kid down in the minor leagues if you think he could help out the big league team now just so you can check of some arbitrary box that says "threw x amount of innings in A ball, threw x amount of innings in AA ball".
  20. You think I dont f***ing know that?? It applies to the whole idea of having to prove it in the minor leagues that the Jays didnt really care about with Manoah. They saw the stuff and the command and said hes one of our best options as a starter and it doesnt matter that he barely has any experience in the minor leagues, we are using him in the big leagues now.
  21. Manoah came to the big leagues with even less professional innings. Some teams are starting to care less about things like making a guy prove it in the minor leagues. If his pitches grade out as above major league average in the metrics they use to judge them and his control is good enough and his makeup is there then why the hell does a kid have to sit there in the minors putting up ridiculous numbers? Just so the team can say "OK now that he has 100 innings in A ball we can send him to AA for another 100 innings"? Horrible way to manage talent imo. Should be looking at the talent it self and asking your self can he produce in the big leagues now and help this team? If the answer is yes call him up. Of course you have balance all that with service time ********, if you have someone comparable in production whos earned a shot before the other guy ect ect.
  22. Funny that a down year from Vladdy is him still hitting at an all star level but a down year from Bo is him hitting like a replacement level scrub for 2 of 4 months so far.
  23. Fangraphs articles are soo ass. Dont know why anyone would bother to read them.
  24. Unfortunately it looks hes been lucky if anything. In that same time span as above his xBA is .234 while his actual BA is .243 Hes just been hitting like an actual replacement level scrub for almost 2 months now and this really cant be allowed to continue much longer.
  25. Bo rocking a 79 wrc+ his last 181 at bats. Doing his best Grichuk impression for almost 2 months now. And thats before todays puke inducing performance. Forget dropping him in the lineup, would they dare to demote his ass to AAA?
