  1. Seems like just a better version of Seward Berroa. Both these kids are midgets though. 5'8 and 5'9.
  2. Except that other guy showed far more potential with the bat than Biggio ever did, handles same sided pitching so isnt a platoon guy, and is much much cheaper and could be sent to AAA if that needed to happen unlike Biggio whos ego was too big to accept the fact he sucks ass and put his head down, go to AAA and earn his way back to MLB. So no we will not be having that conversation about that other guy anytime soon.
  3. If Cavan Biggio was your favorite player you got some f***ing issues
  4. Holy s*** you mother f***ers complaining about Vladdy, atleast stick to whats f***ing correct, hes not shushing the crowd you morons, hes not directing it at the yankee fans, he does it at home too you dipshits, its to the people who called him overrated and a bust after 2019 and 2020. Anyway those people turned out to be right, but hes not shushing the f***ing crowd.
  5. We really got Space Jam'd and had all our star players talent stolen. Now the question is who stole it? Guillermo Martinez? Don Mattingly? The Mariners?
  6. What are you talking about?
  7. Springer has played plenty of LF in his career too, not like its new to him. Edit: Actually scratch that he hasnt, odd that a full time outfielder for a decade who isnt amazing in CF has spent basically no time in LF.
  8. Shift Springer to LF, Barger in RF vs RHP. Need to leverage Bargers best defensive attribute in RF, Springer can STFU and move to LF without saying a thing.
  9. Some one get Olerud his pills again
  10. Can we give some love to the Silver Fox Trevor Richards?? Hes been outstanding to start the season and was at his absolute best today. He might be better than ever right now, throwing tons of strikes. His changeup is somehow even better than last season and his location has been deadly. Hes throwing it more than ever before getting close to 75% usage and getting 10 more inches of vertical movement while creating even more of a velo gap by dropping 3mph off it now averaging 78mph. Could be in for a monster year if he stays healthy this year.
  11. Fantastic he hit a homerun but it was off a submarine lefty throwing 84 down the dick lol just for complete context
  12. I thought he said that about going to the moon?
  13. Oh what the hell I didnt know he had that in him. Maybe the gun in Vancouver was juiced? Cause theres a pretty big drop off from 100 last Sep to "only" 96 now.
  14. Where did you get 100 from? Baseball Savant has him maxing out at 96.2 today.
  15. I remember early on in ST Marc Hulet i think posted on twitter sating that the Jays had no power and were f***ed and now they lead in homers lol
  16. Sad but comes with the sport. If the gods blessed you with the ability to throw 100 they also cursed you with a chance to destroy your arm.
  17. Yea I get that, although I do doubt just how much of an impact on recovery the pitch clock has. Also you have to keep in mind that the pitchers would be exerting themselves less than they have been the last few years so there would be a positive effect on pitcher health from that as well, as negated as it may be from the pitch clock and having to throw more pitches overall.
  18. It will happen, enough people in the MLB offices care enough about the value of starting pitching going down that they will introduce new rules to encourage teams to allow their starters to throw more innings which will inevitably lead to pitchers throwing with less intensity in order to preserve more stamina which will in turn make control/command more valuable. One thing Ive already seen being talked about is reducing the max number of pitchers on a active roster down to 12.
  19. This would have just been called a fastball with run back in the day. It better to have that horizontal movement with mid IVB than just mid IVB. His velo, horizontal movement, low release height, above average horizontal release are all above average characteristics of his fastball. I wouldnt be worried at all that he doesnt have good rise, there are plenty of other things that make his fastball a really good pitch.
  20. So hes going back to the NPB this year then?
  21. His pride must be getting in the way of taking a minor league deal
  22. Yes he definitely changed his swing. Hes got a two handed follow through now and keeps his back elbow tucked in during his swing, ala Mookie Betts. Some of the videos where hes taking batting practice have a almost identical finish as some swings as Mookie. Not a bad hitter to try and imitate if that was the goal
  23. Well according to the dude who broke the IKF signing, Chapman blamed the new dimensions/walls for his offensive struggles and told the jays early on he didnt want to come back
  24. Now thats a name most wouldnt have thought of in a while. He was like 88-92 when he was a prospect so good to see hes added velo.
