    Ryu will sign like a 1yr 12M dollar deal with a bad team, like maybe the Pirates or Royals, or Oakland who will look to flip him at the deadline for a lottery ticket..... He aint getting a multi year deal at age 37/38 coming off TJ. No way. Hes not Verlander.

    So I guess Ryu is back to 2021 form??? I mean hes faced alot of bad teams but still...his command looks outstanding and the stuff seems to be just good enough.

    Jays with the second best avg with RISP since August 1 at like .330 Super hard to believe but the tide seems to have turned for the offense.

    This is hardly the FO fault. This season is completely on 3 players: Vlad, Manoah, and Kirk. No one else is to blame for this season. All three have hit like their 10th percentile projections, maybe even worse. If these three tubs of lard had even hit their average projections we are probably leading the division.

    Cant believe Vlad has been a below replacement level player for 4 f***ing months. Unreal fall off. Lazy at bats, horrible base runner, bad fielder. Pretend his 2021 never happened...does he even get tendered a contract for 2024? 2019: sub replacement, 2020: replacement level player, 2022: above average 1B, 2023: replacement level player at best. If his name and pedigree didnt carry so much weight you would have serious conversations about non-tendering this POS at seasons end.

    Just to be an ******* Ill say this: 25 yo pitcher with numerous arm injuries finally stays healthy for an extended period of time, showcases plus major league stuff, advances to highest level of minor league baseball after posting solid stats (ps. minor league numbers for pitchers should be taken with a pinch of salt, stuff is what matters the most), for the most well run organization in baseball. I was all in on the Frasso hype train last year, im still on it, but seems like his stuff has taken a step back, last year he was flirting with 100 and this year reports say hes more 94-97ish. Will he be a stud starter? Probably not, maybe more of a Mitch White type swing man with better stuff but Im not gonna be upset we traded him anymore since we got Bowden Francis in that role.

    Yea it would be going back and forth from the bullpen type of thing if he was to di this. In the WBC this year he did do this in the finals tho. Like he went to warm up in the bullpen, then his spot in the lineup came up so he had to rush back and hit, then after heis atbat he ran back to the bullpen to get warm up and then came in to close it out. But it would be tough to do and keep him in the lineup at the same time. Like eventually there would be a scenario where he has to get loose to come in but he spends the whole half inning stuck on the bases and isnt ready to pitch.

    Wonder if Shohei ever considers switching to a RP role. Like not a closer role but maybe like a multi inning late game reliever. Come in the 7th and finish the game couple times a week type. Would be less taxing on his arm than starting games every 6 days.

    Orelvis 3-3 with a double and a bomb today. OPS at AAA up over .850 now. Connor Cooke pitched an inning too. K'ed 3 and walked one.

    Orelvis has all this pop but still looks tiny in that video of him hitting a 450 ft bomb today. Scary to think he might have even more pop as he gets stronger over the next year or two.

    He could teach them a thing or two about hunting fastballs and pulling them for damage and laying off the slop pitches.....

    In 2021 he started off great with his chase% but then got less and less patient as the year went along as pitchers started being extremely careful with him. His chase % has improved greatly for 2023 as the season has gone along, his season high was in May at 47.6% on off speed, 41.5% on breaking balls and 24.3% on fastballs. For July he was at 30.4% on the breaking ball, 25.8% on the off speed and 22.1% on fastballs. SSS for his August numbers obviously but they are even better. I really think hes gonna break out and have a monster run here soon. He hits the ball too damn hard too damn often for it not to happen at some point if he keeps his chases under control like he has been.

    JFC people....As if Vlad is aiming all his line drives and hard contact at people....Do people realize that Vlad has the BIGGEST negative difference between his WOBA and his xWOBA??? IE. He is literally the most unlucky hitter in the MLB this year???

    Shocked to see the return for Civale but then I checked his numbers and was even more shocked to see he was dominating. Thought of him as a nothing shitballer.
