The Tucker news sucked but the Bo news was a punch to the gut. I dont blame either for taking the deals they got since it seems to maximize their earning potential. Just sucks the massive hole Bo leaves in the top of our lineup. Not sure who but I really hope we can add someone to fill that.

Ceiling isn't high enough. Team needed someone of Bo/Tucker/Bregman's calibre tbh.

Ya getting Bo is important. We need top tier offensive talent, which is why many, including the Jays themselves wanted Tucker. We have elite level depth but sometimes its just about having your best players carry you in moments. Cant expect only Vladdy and an aging Springer to be those guys.

We need to sign Bo before the Mets steal Bellinger from the Yankees and they get pissed by going after Bo lol.

Being used is actually a good thing. It may not seem like it but the more other teams have to pay free agents, the less they should have to spend elsewhere. Dodgers are just the anti-christ so this doesnt apply to them i guess lol

Good thing is that the Mets dont need Bo and the Red Sox need a 3B now so Bo isnt that useful for them. Seems like it'll be us and Philly for Bo so if we really want him then just show him the money. Dont think Philly is the type of team who would offer an insane deal like the Mets/Dodgers would.

I believe this. I dont think Cohen would be that dumb/cocky to make such a post when he knows the baseball world and especially his own fanbase is dying for something positive after a dreadful offseason so far.

Signing Tucker creates a logjam in the OF just like signing Bo would create a logjam in the IF. I doubt signing Okamoto would take them out of the race for a player of Bo's calibre. It would be like signing Morales and saying too bad to Edwin lol.

We just gotta hope Bo doesnt hold any resentment being made the 2nd choice and signs a short term deal with another team (Phillies)

Haha I actually want Bo but would be ecstatic if we got Tucker. The only thing that could dampen that is a crazy contract like 400/10 but even then, that "complaining" would be saved for another time.

There were reports of the Mets offering 120 to 140 for 3 years yesterday and then another report today that they increased their offer to 4 years without deferrals that was close to 50M per year.
