    Then you go get Bo. Tucker isnt good enough for you to punt on Bo if the contract is reasonable. Whoever commits to a reasonable deal first should be the choice imo.

    Ya, im still hoping for Bo because I like the lineup flexibility better and because he'll demand a smaller/shorter deal. Dont get me wrong id also be ecstatic with Tucker. Cant wait to see how the dominoes fall, lets hope most of them stay away from the AL East and the Dodgers.

    Im going to guess Bo gets 7/210 with deferrals. 7/175 or 8/200 present value deal.

    Hope the Jays demand an answer from Tucker before Bo goes to Boston. Theyre gonna be really desperate to get him now. We cant be left holding our dicks at the end of this. The fun starts now lol

    Yes it would but im just choosing Bo or Tucker over Varsho considering the alternatives we have at the moment. Varsho is repped by Boras and will cost A LOT. Just not sure what his extension will look like.

    Tucker/Varsho are your full time OFers with Santandar sharing the OF with Barger who also platoons at 3B with Okamoto. This is assuming everyone remains healthy, which never happens. Then you let performance dictate who deserves to be playing more.

    At that point, the Jays should just keep Santandar. Thats too great of a deal for someone id bet bounces back. You probably look elsewhere on the roster to trade for some prospects that you can use in a future trade or go get a true closer.

    Think he goes to the Mets if he wants a long term deal or the Dodgers for a high AAV short deal. Its fine because I want the younger/cheaper Bo anyways..

    DFA'ing for the purpose of knowing no other team will take him so you can stash him off the 40 man until you can move guys to the 60 day IL. He is 100% useful for his defense/baserunning/small ball approach.

    Guessing Jays dont want to DFA Straw while theyre still in on Turner. If Bo signs then he's the guy I bet gets DFA'd and brought back like YRod.

    Only thing I would say to this is that Bo is trending in the wrong direction with his knees/calf. Recency bias matters.

    Ya I also see it harder to sign Tucker now. Bo is still a perfect fit to the lineup. Springer - Barger- Vlad - Bo - Santandar - Varsho - Kirk - Okamoto - Gimenez Bench: Lukes - Clement - Schneider - Straw - Heiniman

    I love the guy too but a lot of teams seem to be penny pinching right now. He's like the Jays 4th/5th OFer so I can see the Jays taking the risk he slips through.

    This is how I see things too except the fact Gimenez has already gotten paid for being able to "bounceback." Thats where people who dont like him have a case. It would be a major issue if we were a small market team like the Indians instead of the big dick swinging Jays lately.

    You think the team tries to DFA Straw thinking no one will take him and we can add him back to the 40 man at a later time like YRod? I think other teams would be stupid to not claim him when he provides elite defense and has just 1 year left on the deal.

    I dont because that'll mean we'll have all our lefties stacked up at the bottom of the lineup. If we get Tucker, I expect him to be there or else it'll be Barger.
