  1. You ignored the past where I said Varsho is an extension candidate. If not then the Jays with their 300M payroll who just offered Tucker 350M will find another player that fits. These are big dick swinging, limousine riding, 300M payroll having POWERHOUSE Jays baby!!!!
  2. We got Varsho/Barger/Santander with Lukes as the 4th OFer for this season. 3 of the 4 are under contract past this season with Varsho being a contract extension candidate. What is there exactly to freak out over?
  3. We have a guy who majority feel isnt a closer either and thats with us having a 300M payroll. Heck, many wanted Dominguez to take over the role from Hoffman so we cant be laughing at the White Sox here lol.
  4. Rendered your post meaningless without that CRUCIAL piece of info :)
  5. Okamoto's best position is 1B according to "sources"... im sure he'll be the guy who plays there when Vladdy sits/DH's
  6. I dont like people downplaying his departure like its only a marginal downgrade to Okamoto but how dare you try to censor our Bo talk. He was in the organization for a decade, give us at least a week of mourning... jeez lol.
  7. People laughed at the Mets and then they went crazy. Aside from their defense at 3B, theyre looking scary as hell.
  8. A few more negative stories about him wanting to not be here and we might hear some boos and Bo chants when he plays here lol
  9. I took that as "I didnt want to come back." He was about to take the Phillies offer if not for the Mets. Just gonna wait for the "so happy to get out of Canada" comments lol
  10. https://www.sportsnet.ca/590/the-jd-bunkis-podcast/benefits-and-drawbacks-of-a-mlb-salary-cap-bichettes-decision-w-jim-bowden/ Bunkis also did an interview with Clement the same day, which was a cool listen.
  11. Its literally been a few days and we are getting more information coming out regarding his departure. Sorry for reacting to it. Also, go check out the Bunkis interview with Bowden for more info on the Bo situation. Seems like you havent heard the new deets lol.
  12. Cant believe y'all turned on Bo so fast... would have expected more butt hurt folks that we didnt try harder to keep him. We kept the guy at SS for his whole career when he clearly didnt belong there from the start and now he'll switch positions on another team. Whyyyyyyyyyy lol
  13. Others seem to think we'd be better defensively without Bo so im allowed to think we'd be better with Bo. I actually do think Bo's skillset would be above average at 2B and can agree i have no clue how Okamoto will be defensively at 3B lol
  14. I have 0 hope or desire to pay Bellinger that contract. Would be shocking if we gave that to him but didn't even offer a smaller contract to Bo.
  15. Nowhere did I say the Jays arent still the best team in the AL. Most of us were hoping we were going to become the Dodgers of the AL for a year at least. We were actually on the verge of doing that exactly until the Dodgers came over the top with an utterly stupid contract. Bringing back Bo would have still achieved that but without him, the margin between us and other AL teams got much smaller.
  16. Hard disagree. Clement at 3B/Bo at 2B is better than Clement at 2B/Okamoto at 3B. Its been reported that Bo told everyone at his wedding that he wasn't coming back. Now maybe Bo never wanted to comeback but it seems like the Jays didnt want him back at 7/200 from reports.
  17. Getting Bellinger would be great and would fit nicely in the 2 spot. Sounds like Phillips is using logic of how we should be interested in Bellinger rather than knowing that we actually are. Worst case, it'd be nice to drive up the contract the Yankees pay him to prevent them from making more moves to get hall of famers like Grisham lol.
  18. Outlining all your potential progressions while neglecting all the potential regressions is too homer of a take for me. No one wanted Bo at 47M but its already been confirmed that we didnt even want Bo at the contract Philly offered at 7/200M. Obviously the Jays are still a good team without Bo but he is a difference maker on offense and would have been pretty good defensively at 2B. The Jays took a step back offensively by losing him.
  19. Making a bet to go against your favorite team makes the viewing experience less fun. It should be something drastic to do that lol.
  20. The Jays didnt think Springer would turn into one of the best hitters in baseball... before that, the fit was fine for a team that was inept of power. Lets hope he actually does something this season because we downgraded from Bo to Okamoto. There should be a clause in everyone's contract that you forfeit half your contract when you suck balls lol.
  21. Theres nothing else to talk about other than conjecture at the moment... just killing time before the season starts lol.
  22. Im telling you which season im referring to...
  23. I meant we dont win the division last year without Bo... hell yes I believe that. We almost self-destructed when he got injured. Need to remember that the whole fanbase was blasting Vlad for being a ground ball machine prior to the playoffs.
  24. Who said that? Just mentioning that the loss of Bo is being undervalued when he was one of our best hitters before he got hurt. We got much better long term SP wise, bullpen still doesnt have an elite lefty nor closer and we got worse hitting wise. Still one of the best teams in the AL and it also helps that no other AL contender did much to close the gap with us.
  25. This is where I disagree. From various reports, the Phillies thought they actually had a deal with Bo with their 7/200M offer. That doesnt sound like a team that was expecting the Jays to get him. If that were the case, we would have already heard the Jays were pissed instead of the Phillies. The fact we havent even gotten the Jays offer to Bo yet seems telling. Now id love to know whether it was the Jays undervaluing Bo to not even want to offer 7/200 or Bo just not wanting to comeback. Im sure we'll find out soon.
